my dad got suspended for a week in rugby for saying "asshole"...to himself.
#110 to #7 - christmouth (07/02/2013) [-]
He got sent off, because the referee thought it was directed at him, but this usually don't happen as the referee's mostly have a bit of common sense, but accidents happens, as football makes space for human errors.
User avatar #103 to #7 - buttholee (07/02/2013) [-]
He swore at the ref, so yeah
#74 to #7 - andreashella (07/02/2013) [-]
Depends on the ref, usually it's just if you stand up in the ref's face and swears at him
#68 to #7 - anonymous (07/02/2013) [-]
You should only be sent off for foul language if you swear directly at any of the officials. That ref was just a cunt.

Usually no. Swearing in frustration at your own actions etc isn't punishable. Swearing AT someone, or excessive swearing (i think the rules describe it as dissent) is punishable. People rarely get carded for it though. Ref was being a bit harsh in this case.

Right, real men fake injuries and fling themselves 20 ft after accidentally getting bumped into.

Have you ever seen a football match?
User avatar #260 to #253 - improbablyyourdad (07/03/2013) [-]
Yes, there is a lot of ass grabbing and spit swapping.

Just to let you know, the guy in the picture was faking it because someone on their team was doing that kind of shit.
User avatar #176 to #175 - mutzaki (07/03/2013) [-]
That's good to know, actually. Now he doesn't seem like such a piece of shit anymore.

what sports do you like?
User avatar #155 to #152 - mutzaki (07/03/2013) [-]
I'm not much for sports in general, but I prefer athletics, like high jump and 100-meter dash and also gymnastics. As far as ball sports go, I can enjoy watching basketball. I just think football has too little action and too much faking of injury.
User avatar #169 to #155 - gunthar (07/03/2013) [-]
The truth is that when i was younger i didnt like watching football too much i only watched important matches like the world cup, Libertadores or the eliminatories to the world cup, but i did love playing it, now that i dont play as much (i used to play every day)
i enjoy watching it a lot more, in my opinion football is the best sport there is but i agree sometimes some matches can get boring even if the teams are good, for example watching Barcelona play is the most boring thing for me.
User avatar #69 to #8 - mutzaki (07/02/2013) [-]
Seriously? Sorry for the opinion, guys, I hope no one got too hurt.
