sorry, but there is something i need to get off my chest about all these riots. a dutch was raped by five guys in Cairo during these riots. and you know what? they filmed it. it's on ******* YOUTUBE. you don't believe me?

www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=snw8UMCz9Qw#at=28

this is what this breeds. it doesn't shout out for the universal unity of men and women fighting under a banner of oppression, that they want to free themselves of. it doesn't signify the ending of a great injustice. you know what this is? this is human nature. sickening, foul, human nature. no matter where you are, no matter what you ******* do, they will be those who take advantage of what's happening. there will be those who want nothing more than to fuel their own ******* greed and sick pleasures.

Yes, but the taxes go down.
So even if you're getting raped, you can afford the ice after.

I'm probabably wrong but if millions suddenly protested on the streets of Norway, the ones doing the sexual assaults would be immigrants.

its so messed up that people will take advantage of an otherwise peaceful protest to let out their anger and generally be a dumbass. In my hometown, there was a peaceful march against police brutality during the "Occupy" movement. 50-75 peaceful members marching for awareness and nothing more were soon joined by a handful of rioters/looters/dumbasses who wanted to take advantage of the situation and get away with doing stupid ****. Thus the march was deemed a "violent riot" and many people were arrested for being present while the assholes got away. So who was blamed for the damages and other things caused by this handful of hooligans? The pastor who organized the otherwise peaceful march for awareness. Bam. the ********* win again.

whenever i see things like this i hate humanity. perhaps the cold war should have escalated. this truly shows that humanity hasn't advanced at all in it's long history. we are still savages when it comes down to it.

I watched that video like 6 times and I didn't see anyone being raped. Yes there was a woman being sexually assaulted and yes a rape may have occured but I don't think that video should be used a proof of a rape because it doesn't actually show one. I'm not saying what happened was in any way good or justified just that that video shouldn't be shoved in peoples' faces as video evidence of a rape.

The same thing occurred to a reporter of CNN. In her case in particular during the original riots, some men yelled she is a Jew. Some Muslims view Jews as second rate, and she already had the low stance of a woman, meaning they could do whatever the hell they wanted and be justified.
Do not be confused by the Middle East (Syria, Libya, Egypt), these are the people that are coming in power. And these are the people Turkey is rioting against.

I find it hypocritical that people who are replying to you are questioning the legitimacy of the entire Egyptian movement because of this incident. I agree with everybody that the sexual assault. I refuse to acknowledge it as rape. She was not being raped. She was being sexually assaulted. It doesn't make it any more okay. However, it is less extreme. Anyways, back to the main point. In a case of mass protest such as this where there are 33,000,000 people out in the streets protesting, there are bound to be terrible crimes. That does not excuse these men. Yet there were MANY cases of rape and sexual assault in the Occupy movement. Yes, in a western and advanced country such as the United States, this exact same incident happened to many people. This does not put the protests' legitimacy into question because everywhere in the world there are bad eggs. These men in the Egyptian protests are ours.

These...

As sad as that is, there are 20-30 million people in that crowd. There are bound to be people who will take advantage of the situation and commit crimes. But that shouldn't take away from the significance of the event.

Wait dude...was she really raped? Like what did she say happened exactly? Is there an updated and credible news article on this? Because...if this is true..you really ruined my day by linking this. I didn't want to see someone get raped. **** like that really makes me angry. The entire middle east should just be wiped off the planet. It's completely lawless...**** religion man.

You don't hear about rapes happening in riots in the more civilized countries..at least I don't.

you are no better than those rapists. you want genocide? there are people like that in the entire world. they took advantage of the riots. i'm pretty sure one of the things that condemns you to hell in islam is rape. but these people arent religious, they are criminals and extremists. i'm sure most of these people are fighting for liberty

I call for destruction of that area because it's going to a point of no return. Much like how central Africa is right now. The Congo and areas like that, are gone. Look at all the resources we are putting into the ME...we ****** it up more than it already was. Either destroy what's currently there and try to build it up or completely abandon the place. It's not even worth it.

there is a valid point brought up by simplelife. The point that he makes is that the middle east is lawless. this can be almost undoubtedly proven with the events of the last 10-20 years. this s why he calls for genocide, not just a simple rape... however harsh that may be i would also doubt his actual resolve on the topic of wiping out an entire race of people.

33000000 people are rioting. How is a single rape even statistically relevant? Do you know how many rapes occur daily in countries with a similar population?

People protesting the allowance of a possible dictatorship (and therefore a lack of freedom) are raping a women (and therefore taking away her freedom of sexual choice).

A hypocritical riot isn't the best way to push your aims.

Are you retarded? What part of "statistically relevant" don't you understand? How does the inexcusable behaviour of a totally negligible fraction of the protesters make the riots less legitimate?

Statistically speaking, most rapes don't occur with hundreds surrounding a single person and none (or very few) of them are trying to help.

First of all, I'm very impressed at your observation skills: in a video in which one can barely make out what's going on, you can recognize who's trying to help and who's taking an active part in the rape.

Let me put this as simply as I can: there's MILLIONS of people rioting, and as in every riot in history there will be people trying to take advantage of the chaos for their own interest. It's bound to happen and it has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the riots themselves or with the goals they can achieve. It is of course very sad when things like this happen, but it can only remind us of our flawed nature.

True. In the background you can hear " Haram a3likoum", which means something like "god damn you all", and you clearly seem them fighting between each other in the riot over little things.
