That would be impressing considering all the underlying hate and differences. However, that is clever - then there would be no World War 1 (it won't escalate), no World War 2 (since Hitler never would come to power) and no cold war (probably no communism, since no Lenin in Russia). Since Germany and Russia then would just roll all over Austria-Hungary, and the other parties would never have to involve themselves.

well since germany gave some protection to Lenin while he worked against the Tsar....Lenin was grateful and after the revolution he offered alliance to germany, just general von ludendorf who was sent to broker the terms just started demanding tons of **** from lenin so lenin withdrew the offer

shame really, with russia's help and resources combined with germany's efficiency, we could have won ww1, pushed france, britain and italy into corners, and ruled east and west europe

most likely stalin would have still seized power in the east and paul von hindenburg in the west

Hmm, however - one could claim that the war against Austria would be done quickly - but it could have been the starting point of a much longer and more extensive war. Russia had a lot of men, sure - but their army was highly inefficient, and they got beaten down their socks against Germany. The question is if the Germans could have armed the Russians, and actually made some progress on the western front with their help - and one could also claim that the involvement of the US would have been more significant if Germany/Russia/Occupied Austria started an invasion war against France and Britain (rather than a pre-emptive war which was pretty much the case during WW2).

A really interesting scenario

Too bad with Ludendorff then, a decent military commander - but a horrible politician. After all, he did support the Beer Hall Putsch.

And btw. if Germany actually won WW1 (together with Russia), then I reckon Paul von Hindenburg wouldn't have seized power - and Kaizer Wilhelm would have continued to rule... Wouldn't he?

well half the reason the russian army was **** was lack of equipment...only half of them had guns and had to wait for men to die to get guns to the next guys
if the russians supplied metal to germany, they could build a ******** of tanks and play the tank rush (like ww2) and nothing would stop them

ludendorf may have supported the beer hall putsch but he didnt take it seriously until halfway through then turned up late and then let some of the captured politicians go and they ended up calling the military to fight the putsch....so ludendorf was the reason the putsch failed

with russia having killed the tsar, it wouldnt be long before germans purged their imperial system......since lenin was communist he would have strengthened the communist party in germany and eventually europe would be communist......
not so hard because on the far west, spain had strong communist elements so france would have been squished between spain and germany and have communist france
