But the speed lines seem to indicate that during this picture the hand is still going forward, which means that Robin shouldn't have started falling just yet.

As you can see in the gif someone posted below, when the guy has his sword still going forward, the falling piece hasn't started falling.

Then we can count in that Wolverine is a superhero and the speed of that swing is probably faster than the one of that obese not so strong man.
