This is how we destroy someone's legend. No one has any respect for hitler anymore now that things like this exist.

Are you trying to say that Hitler deserves our respect?

He did lead an army and convince nearly and entire nation to attempt to commit genocide, and gracefully killed himself in defeat. He deserves some kind of respect. Not like I would really wanna buy him an ice cream cone kind of respect, but a genocidal leader that took like 3 different armies to be defeated kind of way.

I think that by utterly disrespecting people who do horrible things and are remembered for it, we discourage more people doing the same.

How often do the perpetrators of those high school shootings and public bombings do it because they were going to commit suicide anyway, and simply be remembered?

And would they still do it knowing that the way they are remembered is by people parodying their image using fat black chicks? Or by drawing cocks across their photos?

The truly evil don't deserve a respectful peace even in death. My opinion.

To be fair, i didn't know him, but it is quite possible that, like the rest of he Nazi's, he believe that jews really were the cause of their debt and that they were the master race. but he isn't exactly ALIVE to tell us now is he? Though many people think that he knew exactly what was really going on, who the fuck knows, they aren't hitler.

His motives don't concern me; Hitler was responsible for the genocide of around 10 million people, and will go down in history for it.

I respect his ability to dramatically fix Germany's pre-war economy, and to sway a whole country to his will, but I will not respect his memory nor anything he did with his power after this. He does not deserve it.

Not exactly, I imagine. I think he means he must be respected regardless of whether he deserves it, because if we cease to respect, then we open the way for a repeat.

This was meant to be a good thing, but how I phrased it definitely sounds that way.

I honestly thought you were just making a good joke.

We all make mistakes like that man. Although it's a lot worse when it's about Hitler.
