MONOPOLY.
User avatar #20 - rmoran (06/29/2013) [-]
It actually takes a fraction of a second to win Monopoly, because the point between losing and winning is usually down to a single event that happens with a dice roll.

I don't understand this at all. It should be converted to turns. it could take someone a millisecond longer just to pick up the dice. When I roll the dice, it could take longer for them to settle. This doesn't make any sense.
#8 - software (06/29/2013) [-]
play with 2 players, one player says i give up
User avatar #5 - honkan (06/28/2013) [-]
A computer could simulate it in less than a second. I doubt any group of persons could do it without rehearsal in 21 seconds. This is either complete ******** (most likely) or it was meant to say "turns".

Park Place and Boardwalk?

***** , that's Park Lane and Mayfair.
User avatar #32 to #31 - ultimoz (06/29/2013) [-]
Probably an americanised version. **** that.
User avatar #34 to #32 - thatguywhohasbacon (06/29/2013) [-]
I don't really think you can call something Americanized when it was invented in America.
#39 to #34 - Cyrogen (06/29/2013) [-]
What would you call changing it in such a way then?

We have the original version here with Park Lane & Mayfair, and an Australianized version also.

The names in the original were British, even if it was invented in the US.
#40 to #39 - thatguywhohasbacon (06/29/2013) [-]
No they weren't, they were changed to British places for marketing in the UK, this is the original image from the U.S. patent office, it's hard to see but you can easily tell that those are park place and boardwalk, also, read this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monopoly_(game)#UK_version
Specifically "Watson felt that for the game to be a success in the United Kingdom, the American locations would have to be replaced".
