Well I think if you went straight to the second without playing the first it would ruin the experience.I say this because you can only make some choices in Mass Effect 2 if you have played Mass Effect 1 and those choices could impact some of the characters or the story in a bad You need to login to view this link would also ruin the experience for Mass Effect 3 since you are only allowed choose some choices if you have played both Mass Effect 2 and 1 and I remember one of the choices being a pretty major choice. They also reference your choices in Mass Effect 2 if you played Mass Effect 1 and picking a history set up for you is no fun

I respect your opinion good sir.

And whilst I do in fact prefer the substance of Oblivion, Skyrim no doubt made many improvements.

In the graphics and gameplay aspects.

However the dumbing of mechanics ultimately alienates the RPG elements of Skyrim resulting in a overall different experience. I personally do not mind.

Comparing the two is both fair and not, as they aim for different goals, while sharing many similarities.

That's down to opinion, I dislike 1 and 2 because I've never been a fan of top-down games like that (and GTA 2 etc.) and the fact that they can be passed in 20 minutes if I remember correctly. Whereas 3 and New Vegas are more modern third/first person shooters which I prefer. As for NV over 3, I prefer 3 because of the location and story, but there are aspects of NV (factions, iron sight, hardcore etc.) that I loved and wish were in 3. I hope Fallout 4 can take the best bits from all 4 games and improve on them all.

I must agree wtih you on something, Fallout 3's location and level design were much better than NV's. But NV had (in my opinion) a better story, a bigger map, more weapons and actually more of everything. Most importantly, a LOT more quests. Probably 5 times the quests 3 had.

I partly agree. I liked the main quest and the general world better in oblivion. Skyrim had the looks, but the colors were too bland and boring. If i play for an epic story, i'll play Oblivion. If i just want to explore, i'd play Skyrim. Both games are amazing, but overall, Oblivion had a better feel to it.

Well, I mean how else do you want to change it? I think it's perfect the way it is. However, I didn't really like Assassin's Creed 3 because I felt it was linear, not really open world. I mean sure, they had side missions but they weren't anywhere near as good as before. I'd rather relive Altair rather than collect resources.
I gotta give it to them though, the ship missions were pretty awesome.

My personal opinion:

Morrowind was more fun for me. It had a great sense of humor, a deep plot, and a great sense of achievement when you completed it. There was no fast travel or quest marker, so you had to take directions and hope for the best. It tested your skill as a player, since at any moment as a low level, you could stumble into a higher level area and get slaughtered. The only downside: these ******* (pic related).

Oblivion was great visual-wise, although it did look kind of samey after a while, it was appealing when exploring and shiz. The quests, although not as plentiful as Morrowind, were a LOT of fun. I liked the combat too, it was a lot easier than Morrowind. Plus, adding horses was a great idea (although Shadowmere rode like the ******* wind into every tree within a 5 mile radius). Although I did enjoy it loads, Morrowind will always have a special place in my heart. Maybe I'm biased since it was one of the first video games I ever played, but I don't think anything could ever compare to it <3 If you don't compare it to Morrowind, Oblivion was brilliant, something you could play over and over again.

Skyrim was also fun, but I found the sights to be a bit blad. Yeah I get it, it's North, there's snow, but bloody hell, a lot of the time, all I could see was snow and then suddenly: trees. Even the menu is black and white. The voice acting and AI REALLY improved though, so many new voices and conversations. The combat is very good too (I don't know why, but I've always preferred Oblivions Combat more for some reason). Also, I didn't really enjoy exploration as much, since there were just dragons
and snow and **** all else for a while, so I got bored easily. The main quest is short too, so that sucked a bit. A very good game though.

Skyrim IS a very good game, but in my opinion, Oblivion was a lot more colourful and enjoyable for me, and Morrowind tops them all it's just an opinion please don't kill me...

I agree with you about Morrowind and Skyrim, but I found Oblivion to be the worst of the three. Don't get me wrong, I still played a lot of Oblivion and enjoyed it, but it didn't last and now I realize it was pretty bad. I think the visuals are ridiculous and they offended me as a Morrowind player, and the voices did too. Dark Elves can have rediculous wood elf accents and even redguard voices, and they don't even look like dark elves, just generic ass fantasy elves.

Skyrim got really dull for me too though, even though I put in like 600 hours lol, with modding though.
