In essence you do. While the specifics may differ, in general it's still the same thing over and over again.

Well, you also breath every day.
and go to the toilet.

You don't do the same every day, if we said in general, then that would apply to pretty much everything.

What the post was complaining about was that he does specific things over and over again. "Repeating the same futile tasks every day".

You see?

I'm saying that with a job in an office space you do essentially the same things over and over again. You work on the same forms or same task, follow the same process, the same way day in and day out.

Same with video games. The skin of the game may change. Halo is not the same as Call of Duty which is not the same as Bioshock, but in all games you're trying to complete missions by overcoming a certain threat or obstacle.

That's the joke of this content.

So, they have the same tasks?
Totally, dude. I bet they do.
I'm also pretty sure the only games you can play are Halo, Call of Duty and Bioshock.
Let's forget about minecraft, Garry's mod, Skyrim, Dark Souls, racing games such as need for speed and the abundance of other "tasks" (Games) you can play.

In the content, he's only able to do the same tasks over and over again.

See, you could draw a line between these two if he was playing the same game or the same similar two games.

but given that there is an abundance of games that you can play, this is wrong. You're not limited to the "same tasks" in any way.

I know what the joke was intended to be, but this doesn't fit at all. Given the above argument.
