Well Hitler did send scientist to Tibet to study the people there as he believed they were descendants of the original Aryans.

yes and hitler deemed it a failure (his scientists thought otherwise)

As in the scientist thought they were making headway?

yes they brought lots of animals and crops back. Also studied the what one has to imagine was a very colorful culture. people speculate one of the reasons hitler deemed it a failure was due to Tibetan's acceptance of homosexual behavior.

Haven't gotten around to it, lots of book I want to read both about the third reich to the rise of communism in Russia, currently reading a biography on Joseph Goebbels.

At the moment I mostly aim to get the communist manifesto read, also planning to read most of Christopher Hitchens works, maybe read a bit from Trotsky and Lenin and theeen get around to some works on capitalism.

Don't forget to look at Stalin's work. He's portrayed negatively, but it's a huge exaggeration. I imagine Hitchens will be taking an anti-Stalin bias, judging from what I just read of him. Mindless Stalin bashing is silly. Yes, he had his flaws, and yes he made mistakes, but overall, the good outweighs the bad. At the same time, mindless bashing of Trotsky is also silly. I read both.

As for works on capitalism, Das Kapital is all you really need to start with.

It's likely Hitchens was no fan of Stalin since he was a trotskyist.

I just generaly seek understanding of the general ideas that drive our world really.

Presumed as much, since he admired Trotsky (and Lenin) with no mention of Stalin. Haha.

Well, Marxism does that quite well.
