- Basically she asked him a question, where if he made a wrong answer, a wrong answer out of many, it might end with a huge ********* from her. The thing is, he doesn't know what is a right or wrong answer, therefore he is taking a risk og trying to ''defuse'' the situation, thus making the connection beween the real thing and a bomb (making the girl being the bomb).

^ The reason why this world is going to hell.

1) Why would any woman young or old complain about a guy trying to be nice by taking you for a limo ride to prom? Sure I don't have the full story, maybe he was a rich dick wad or something, but if it was something out of his own kindness for liking you why would you complain? Most people do like to splurge and have fun with prom!
2) If he was a rich dick wad, why would you even date him in the first place?
3) You sound like the kind of girl that thinks of men as toys. He "assumed you'd still be together"? If you didn't see yourself going anywhere why would you even date the guy in the first place?

I don't know you, I don't want to be too judgmental, but the way you worded that sounded WAY wrong. Let me say this. If you are going to date a guy it should be someone special that you actually feel connected with. Someone you think can be a real partner in life.You shouldn't waste peoples time (and money) if you DON'T like them or feel connected to them! I'm saying this because I'm a guy in my 20's who's put up with an enormous type of **** with women like that. More so than the money/time it's the heartache because if I date a girl it's because I think they are special. It's sad women have an alternate mindset with things like that.

And no, I'm not saying short-term dating at all is a bad thing. Sometimes it's good just to date a wide variety of people to see what you like and not have any long term commitments in mind. You never know, maybe you think a guy who collects stamps or something stupid is a turn off, but then you date them and find your into it yourself. But you should at least be upfront and open about it to begin with.

The way you wrote that it's just mean! Treat men with respect! If this stops even one person from crushing some poor guys soul down the road I think my job here is done!

he asked me out the first day he met me.
i said yes because im really shy and i thought why not, he was pretty outgoing, and friends with my best friend from childhood.
he asked me this within the first few days.
I wasnt thinking about prom, i was thinking about whether he was a cool guy to hang out with.
I later found out he was the type of guy who dated everyone, was really clingy, really religious, and REALLY sensitive. He couldn't remember how many girls he'd dated when i asked, and when i broke up with him, we had only hung out about 3-4 times and he cried and said he loved me! he was just everything that would annoy me in a person.

and i really wasn't complaining, i was just caught off-guard that he would ask something like that when I've literally only known him for a few days.

thats a totally different kind of guy. (this is coming from a guy btw) these guys basically feel like once theyve accomplished the goal of getting it, then they should be able to hit it at will, indefinitely. the entire relationship, however "otherwise" it may seem, is about sustaining the sexual contact. all of the personality traits, like the religiousness, the speed at which they try to seal the deal (relationship or sex) are all gimmicks that they use with every girl until they, through the jealousy and creepiness, get dumped.

sorry i really hate these kinds of people because they have really hurt a few of my friends. i know firsthand what its like; i dated a girl like that once.

That's only like 5 months in advance. renting a limo for prom takes planning and if hes paying for it himself then saving money or if his parents are then saving money. you dont get a limo a week before prom.

It`s pathetic for men in this situation to tell this kind of ******** ,basically giving her false hope,illusions for her future with you,at least usually,because most of you don`t see tropical bananas dropping in both of your mouths in the future on a beach.I`ve been in this kind of situation and feel like it`s best to honestly tell what you see in the future(if you have a spine of course),in my case I said that it mostly depends on her future actions what the future will be and I`d fancy just enjoying the relationship we have at this moment and less thinking about the future together as possible,because it`s destructive for both of us to talk about it.Of course,there was a **** storm after that,but at least i didn`t flip flop my way out of this with lies just to have pussy and it ended well,we men also have the right to have demands on relationships just have the spine to show her you know your worth and don`t want to be walked on.

Now you need to stfu and sit down. Girls don't want to hear the truth, where as in 99% of the cases the couple breakes up in an age like this. If the guys said that, she would break up with his ass immediatly.
The truth is here that the girl wants to hear something specific, not the truth.
