How do you know? Because someone told you?
"Biographers who wrote about Hitler (and who knew him quite well on a personal basis) openly describe his love for Bavarian sausages and game pie ("game" meaning wild meat from birds and other creatures).
Hitler's own chef openly talked about Hitler's love for stuffed pigeon.
In none of Hitler's speeches or writing did Hitler state he was a vegetarian or speak in favor of vegetarianism."

You understand that

A. you are talking to a Nazi
B. I've read far more on Hitler and the master race then you have
C. You're basing your argument off of nothing where are these sources you claim to have
User avatar #62 to #48 - alanflindt (06/18/2013) [-]
I got my quote from an article by Mike Adams for NaturalNews.com. The article was called "Myth Busted: Hitler Was Not a Vegetarian"
Furthermore, Robert Payne, who wrote a biography on Hitler, said that "Hitler's vegetarianism was a fiction made up by his propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels to give him the aura of a revolutionary ascetic, a Fascistic Gandhi, if you will.
There are many other quotes in the biography completely disproving the myth.
Where are your sources then?
#28 to #22 - anon (06/18/2013) [-]
Hitler was vegetarian, because when he fought in the first World War, when teams were attacking soldiers with gases, he was affected in the stomach, so he would never be able to eat meat. At least that's what i read
User avatar #30 to #28 - xengard (06/18/2013) [-]

He was a vegetarian. There was recently a story in one of the big newspapers (our local paper reprinted it) from one of his food testers, who said that he only ate vegetarian dishes.

Ok, each time I see a "Description of personal traits - IT WAS HITLER" posts, I feel like slapping the people who write them.

Hitler was a person. Yes. So what? He was a human being with feelings, and desires, and skills and talents and personality traits - and guess what, not all of them consisted of pure, unrefined evil.

In fact, a lot of his personality traits were not something inherently evil at all. He was a human being, like any other, but he had ****** up morals and ideals, and was in a position where people followed his morals and ideals.

But he was still a ******* human being - how is that weird to you people? How is that unsual? How is that worthy of post after post after post? How is that funny or interesting?
Or how is anyone thinking "Oh, those personality traits sound OK." kinda 'puk'd' when they read that they blonged to Hitler at the end of these posts?

Just....riddle me that, ******* - why is the fact that Hitler was a not-pure-evil-monster, but a human being with flaws and virtues, so interesting to you all?

also I'm pretty sure Hitler was only like 5'8".
User avatar #75 to #42 - blacklite (06/18/2013) [-]
Yeah, but I still wouldn't wanna ****** date him.
#78 to #75 - delivering (06/18/2013) [-]
Yeah, sure.

But the post up there didn't list any of his negative traits, only his positive traits, saying something along the lines of "Would you date the person with this positive traits? Of course you would." and then exclaiming(like the writer somehow tricked you) "Hitler also had these positive traits!"

To which I pose the question - So ******* what?
User avatar #79 to #78 - blacklite (06/18/2013) [-]
Because the fact that he was a pretty ****** person (although a person nonetheless) who was responsible for the deaths of millions kinda overshadows the fact that he had pretty eyes?
#99 to #79 - fourthusername (06/19/2013) [-]
I garuntee you would have thought Hitler was a fantastic leader and not a " ****** person" if you met him prior to WW2.It's not like Hitler was only trying to kill Jews, he also succeeded in making Germany stronger than ever from the poorest time they had ever gon through. There are positive traits in absolutely everyone. To think even Hitler didn't have positive traits is idiotic.

Pic related: that time Hitler won Time Person of the Year
User avatar #104 to #99 - blacklite (06/19/2013) [-]
this is probably the 7th time I've had this argument, but I guess I'll go over this anyway.

First, the biggest reason Germany got out of it's economic rut was because Hitler rallied everyone together with a common enemy (that wasn't a threat in the first place) and started a massive, pointless war; something that tends to boost ANY economy regardless of "leadership" due to an explosion of jobs in manufacturing and such.

Second, whether or not he was a "good leader" is debatable and, quite frankly, is easily overshadowed (to anyone with a proper moral compass) by the fact that his army, under his direction, exterminated 11 million people in death camps alone and caused millions of OTHER deaths throughout the rest of the war. I'm not saying he had NO positive traits. I'm saying that his ratio of positive to negative traits is pretty ill-proportioned to the point where, if you're really aware of all the horrible things he was responsible for, his "positive aspects" are pretty much rendered irrelevant.
#81 to #79 - delivering (06/18/2013) [-]
You didn't get a word I said, did you?

The poster claims he described Hitler, but he in fact did not - he only listed Hitler's positive traits - traits that could be applied to a great number of people besides Hitler.
The poster exclaims that he described Hitler, like he somehow tricked the reader into thinking Hitler is a desirable person to date..
He in fact did not.

The post is stupid and unfunny, is what I'm saying, essentially.
User avatar #83 to #81 - blacklite (06/18/2013) [-]
The point of his post is that the description was generic enough for it to be applicable to even a terrible person, so the description itself is worthless.

The fact that listing only someone's good traits can make them sound desirable no matter how terrible they are is exactly the point he was trying to make.
#86 to #83 - delivering (06/18/2013) [-]
To that I can only say:

"Well...DUH."

I thank Captain Obvious for making that point.
User avatar #87 to #86 - blacklite (06/18/2013) [-]
Well he was basically describing the pointlessness of people making requests for descriptions like that to determine if someone is desirable, so if it were obvious to everyone people wouldn't make "describe yourself and I'll say if I would date you" posts in the first place.

Just because it's obvious to you doesn't mean people can't be dumb enough to not think of that. That's kinda part of the joke.
#92 to #42 - anon (06/19/2013) [-]
Good observations. I've noticed this a lot in my time and I intend to write a book commenting on this when I get out of college.
User avatar #105 to #42 - Crusader (06/19/2013) [-]
You can still be a human being with flaws.
But those flaws can make you evil.
I have flaws, I'm overweight, I don't know when to shut up, I retain copious amounts of useless knowledge.
Those flaws can fit in with society.

Those flaws, don't drive me to try and exterminate entire races of people and institute my own hierarchy.
User avatar #94 to #42 - kikisu (06/19/2013) [-]
I think if he has human traits then it's harder for people to feel complete disgust with him. It's the same thing he did to the jews, dehumanizing them so none of the germans would feel sympathetic towards them.
#57 to #42 - amegaara (06/18/2013) [-]
completely agree i mean indeed he was a human being but he had some wrong morals

is it wrong that i respect hitler for what he did to germany before WW2?

#59 to #57 - delivering (06/18/2013) [-]
Well, he did take the country from the hyperinflation-poverty-ridden mess it was after WW1, to a formidable force. That is a great thing, and that's why people followed him in the first place - he got **** done.

However, he got some of that **** done by using a slave work-force so...it's a mixed bag.

There's no need to be so aggessive about everything you comment on.
Jesus, imagine if you talked like this in the real world...
"Hello, welcome to Mcdonalds may I take your order."
"OH, MY ORDER??? YOU WANNA TAKE MY ORDER? WELL, BITCH, I'LL HAVE A BIG MAC COMBO, AND I'M NOT GOING TO EAT IT, OH NO, THIS ONE'S GOING UP YOUR ASS FAGGOT."
Of course, maybe I'm judging you unfairly, and you're having a bad day.
