Being European, I had to google wtf AP Euro is..

"This course is for high school students who are interested in a first year university level course in European history."

I was expecting it to be for a class of year 6-7 students.. Seems like someone needs to grow up.. I mean throwing a hissy fit like this, because you aren't allowed to watch a movie in class..? At a Uni entry grade level?
User avatar #275 to #218 - brenton (06/18/2013) [-]
It's still high school, my Euromigo. And high school kids are ********* . I took this class in the 10th grade, just to give you an idea of the actual age of those kids.

I've taken both AP Euro and AP US, and passed both AP tests- they're tough classes, and the kids learn and do a lot. The class is also pretty fun though, JUST LIKE AN ACTUAL UNIVERSITY- people have a sense of humor

You get to learn something you're very passionate about, and if anything, I'd take pride in having foreigners this eager to learn about your continent.

On top of that, they're highschoolers, who don't exactly have the best judgement or maturity.

Of course I know that you're just looking for any excuse to insult my country, and most of us don't blame you- as a matter of fact, we aren't big fans of our politics either- but let that be our own problem.

Oh, and I'm so sorry you had to be inconvenienced googling an American highschool course that you weren't familiar with. -had an American not known something about European schooling, I'm sure you wouldn't hesitate to tear them down and call them arrogant or stupid.

Now please, go back to enjoying FJ's funnies and stop making tactless comments

Chill out man, was just stating that I would've pulled something like this off when I was 12, when my teacher didn't let us watch films in class. Not trying to rip the US a new one
And the fact that I state that I am european, was to excuse the fact that I didn't know what the class was, as it seems to be a common thing given the content and casual way it was mentioned.

I'm not sure if it is just the fact that we are more ****** , read that as positive or negative, however you like, but really, barricading a door because you aren't allowed to watch a movie? High School seniors are just about adults as far as I understand the school system over there.. Am I the only person here that sees the action as childish? Don't get me wrong, I live the odd game of kick and go find, but poor teacher, having to deal with that bunch.
User avatar #259 to #258 - adak (06/18/2013) [-]
I'm with you on this, blocking your teacher out of the classroom is really childish. The dude is just trying to do his job. I guess you can't assume that everyone gets that, but at this age it seems ******** .

ugh shut up
User avatar #215 - rel (06/18/2013) [-]
"Viva la revolucion" is Spanish (that spelling is)
Les Mis is French.

This irks me.
User avatar #251 to #215 - foromil (06/18/2013) [-]
"Vive" is the French version. Same root. You're welcome.
User avatar #277 to #251 - rel (06/18/2013) [-]
Yeah, I know that. But the phrase used is the Spanish spelling, which is wrong for Les Mis.
You are also welcome.
User avatar #280 to #277 - foromil (06/19/2013) [-]
No it's not...
User avatar #281 to #280 - rel (06/19/2013) [-]
Are you not understanding that French and Spanish are two different languages or...?
User avatar #282 to #281 - foromil (06/19/2013) [-]
No. I read the picture. It said "Vive."
However, upon further review, it also said revolucion. So OP just sucks.
User avatar #283 to #282 - rel (06/19/2013) [-]
You're right about the vive, I was meaning to say that the "revolucion" part is 1000% incorrect. That's what irks me.
