It's moments like this that make me wonder how much life must have sucked when western society was nearly all Christian, and nearly all Christian owned businesses would be closed for Sunday. That is why some of those businesses close for Sunday, because their owners close for church. So on a Sunday in 1890 there was no business open, no restaurants to eat at, no places to shop, and no services of any kind.
Just something to think about.
