If either of my sons is gay, I will be completely accepting of that fact when they tell me (or when it becomes obvious). I love them unconditionally.

However, it is my job as a parent to protect them until they are capable, physically and emotionally, of protecting themselves. So, if my sons want to wear their cousins' dresses and jewelry during playtime, in the privacy of my home, they can do that. There is no harm in it, and no point in discouraging it. But they will dress in the societally-accepted clothing of "boys" when they leave the house. Because I will not be responsible for them being ridiculed, assaulted, or tormented for something they do not yet understand the ramifications of, simply to be one of those "cool, accepting" parents. I will be the bad guy who doesn't allow them to "express themselves" in public. I will protect them if it is in my power to do so, and that means teaching them how boys act, and how boys dress - but balancing that with teaching them to accept everyone for who they are. So, when "cool, accepting" parents send their little boys to school in dresses, my children will not be the ones tormenting them.

Rant over. I think.

Would you still love them if they cut one of your tits off?

*sigh* I was just trying to (in a retarded way) say that you can't love anyone unconditionally unless you really didn't give a fuck. Which is why I said that in my previous comment. I have nothing against the rant above, but I just don't like it when someone says they love someone unconditionally, it just makes me question what if they did this or that to you? I tried to explain it my best.

Gif unrelated.

I didn't thumb you down, just so you know. Or up.

The answer is yes, I would still love them if they cut one of my tits off. I would be sad, angry, confused...I would wonder what I did wrong. I would still love them if they murdered a room full of babies. I would run a gamut of emotions, but I would still love them. That doesn't go away.
