>Sony doesn't get to choose whether games require DRM or internet connection, it's determined by game publishers.
>Sony's "used game" policy is disc-based, meaning in 5 years when everything is data and discs are obsolete, their "used game" policy will be pointless.

>Xbox will actually let you lend games to other friends.

>The only games that "may" charge you a fee for used games is third party games so they aren't afraid to publish games in fear of pirating or taking major losses.

>They have the Kinect bundled with every xbox one so they have developers willing to try new things with the kinect rather than the very miniscule amount of games they have on the 360.

>Once someone has been on your friend's list for at least 30 days, your friend can play any of your downloaded games on your listing...That also means that 2 people can be playing that game at the same time, so in other words: 2 games for the price of one...Yeah, and the Xbox one won't save you money.

>Meanwhile the PS4 has been said to do many things but only a few things have been confirmed considering the vast amount of questions they left.

>The Truth: Microsoft did a TERRIBLE JOB advertising their new device to customers and Sony likes to hide a lot of stuff from us.

>Final Conclusion: Megaman in Brawl...I think Nintendo won E3 overall...(Not just because of megaman of course...)

1) DRM will mean that games will be a lot cheaper, as happens with Steam on PC.
2) Used games will be available through certain retailers, and will mean that developers get more money for their video games rather than the likes of Gamestop scooping up all the profit which gives nothing to developers.
3) Internet connection every 24 hours is required to ensure that you still own the rights to the games on your console, and is simply a counter piracy measure against multiple copies of the same digital game.

Yes, they may be unpopular and annoying policies, but Microsoft have good reasons for doing all of these things.

The reason Steam games are cheaper is because there is no middle man. For Xbox or PS games, there needs to be a cut for the store that sells it, as well as for the developer. Also, since developers get no money from used game sales, the developers cut must be a lot bigger on Xbox or PS games compared to Steam games.

Okay, we get it. The xbox 1 sucks, can we please move on?
#73 - anonymous (06/17/2013) [+] (10 replies)
yea but Xbone is gunna be more like steam now... so they can afford to sell games at a lower price and since there is no chance of piracy they can make more money selling for less... basic economics

I suspected something like this myself, I doubt that any company would do what Microsoft did without reaching out to the competition and getting a feel first.
User avatar #90 - Takemeforcola (06/17/2013) [-]
I am unsure how i feel about this, it was once funny to rip on xbox, then it got repetitive and now its just annoying. Almost as annoying as the no post on sundays marathon

What people don't know, is that if a game is multiplatform has drm for one console (Xbox One), it is extremely likely that the drm will be for all consoles.

so since no one on this ****** site seems to know it, just let me share that u can automatically share your games with all your online friends on the xbox one for free without even having to lend them the ******* disc. so my oppinion is that the sharing function of the Xbox One succeds the ps4
#46 - itsuckedbeinganon (06/17/2013) [-]
I actually think they co-operated. I thought to myself "I'm not getting any of them" before E3. And now that I know Xbox One sucks horsecock, I want the PS4. This is professional marketing
