Xbox one is more like a PC than a console. A very shitty PC with a fuckload of unnecessary restrictions. I'm purely a PC gamer but when i think about the advantages of a console, it is mainly that i can take it to wherever i want, put the DVD in an just start playing. Microsoft took that out of the Xbox one and added a region lock (among other things that suck ass), so it's just a shitty PC that will only work when Microsoft allows it to work.

Exactly what I've been thinking about it. With the Xbox One, Microsoft wanted to make their system closer to the PC gaming experience, by creating an environment that would allow for more often updates, F2P games, etc. But in the process, the completely forgot the entire reason that consoles exist: to be FUCKING DIFFERENT from PCs. ANd they made so many changes to make the Xbox One more PC-like that they lost almost all of the advantages of a console.

you can still take your console wherever you want. you can play your games on any console you want as long as you have access to your account. region lock has been implemented in every console up o this point i dont see why everyones complaining

The Xbox one will work in 21 countries. You can't import it, because it won't work. You can't take it with you on vacation, because it won't work. If you don't live in one of those 21 countries, you can't get an Xbox one at all.

I don't know about you, but for me this is a very, very good reason to bitch about.

But it's what they did with the Xbox one. If i used the wrong word for it, sorry about that.

they never said anything about bringing a console into another country. this is just another wild speculation

this might help a little namely the part about military personel having no issue

I still think that whole business is absolutely unnecessary and just a pain in the ass to deal with for no apparent reason or gain whatsoever. But thank you for posting that anyway, it seems no one actually hows how that stuff is supposed to work, not even Microsoft themselves (or they just won't tell anyone yet).

i think its the execs fault. microsoft is a big company so they have focus in many different places. theyre focusing on the business as a whole and not just the gaming so when people come to them about the game theyre worried about the big picture and not just one detail so they dont give the best information

That seems like a mistake to me, since the gaming is the core part of a gaming console and the part the people they want to sell it to care about the most, so they're kinda cock blocking themselves with all this stuff and personally i have yet to see anything positive come out of that.

Personally I'm not that concerned about all that stuff, since i won't get a console any time soon, but i still think its weird to see a big company like microsoft with a lot of experience with consoles accumulate that much bad PR through bad decisions about their 3rd console. And on top of all that, this weird E3 Xbox guy is basically giving the finger to Xbox fans without access to the internet by saying they should just stick with their 360, because that is an offline device.

well thats what im saying . they are puting people onstage who are more focused on things like windows eight and the windows phone and arent good at pr. great business men maybe but dont present their products well. thats what i meant when i said they arent only gaming. bill gates has all of his money for pc not the xbox.
