Shame it does not work like that when you are older (in high school for instance). Fighting can easily get you arrested, at least in the school I went to, so you have to either find other ways of resolving the matter or at least settle the matter outside of school.

Huh, where I live it goes like this:

>You stand up to the bully, beat his ass
>Faggot bully brings faggot friends
>Faggot friends have faggot baseball bats
>You get your **** wrecked and the police gives zero *****

when i was 18 i had this long running rivalry/hatred with another guy in the town. it hd been going on for years, we hated eachothers guts. one day at a party something just came over me and i punched him in the face. we've gotten along ever since

**** the law, i follow my morals and i know what's right and what's wrong. For any sheep that live in UK, must suck not being able to use self defense, instead you have to wait for the police to come 20 minute later or you get charged worse than the initial criminal.

There's a world of difference between self defense and fighting.

Not usually when it comes to school rules. I got suspended for blocking a roundhouse punch from a guy three times my size.

I had a massive black bruise on my forearm to prove it was just a defensive block but they still didn't care.

So then you punch the principle in the face and say they should be suspended.

Most bullying isn't physical contact. Not really self defense.

not even lying, at my high school, kids got suspended for defending themselves all the time. its common in these 'zero-tolerance' schools.

I once got detention because there was a food fight in the cafeteria. had to write a letter of apology to the principle.

I was not even in school that day.

In the eyes of the school I went to there wasn't a difference being. I actually got expelled from that school for defending my self because some punk hit me with a chair because I apparently was being a dick to his "girl" and since he was the one who lost some teeth he didn't get in any trouble. While I do agree self defense and just fighting are two different beasts most people can't tell the difference and don't give a **** most the time.

Not in my school there's not, if some guy started throwing punches at me then I wouldn't be at all surprised if we BOTH got suspended, even if I didn't fight back.

Not in my school system.
#60 to #8 - mr skeltal (06/16/2013) [-]
not at my school. If you got hit in the face in my school and didnt even hit the person back there was still a good chance you were getting suspended for being a part of the conflict.

I completely agree with you, but unfortunately my school did not. Their policy regarding bullying and any type of fighting was retarded.

To give an example, if someone started a fight with you, you could have your hands behind your back the entire time and just let them hit you, and even with multiple witnesses testifying to the fact that you did not strike back you would get the same consequences as the offender ( saw this happen to someone in person, it was ******** ).

Basically, if the bullying situation escalates to the point of physical violence the school just says " **** it, we don't want to deal with this, you are both suspended". It's lazy, it's unfair, and it's the school's first and last resort for actually addressing these problems.
