Yeah i got that like the third time i got there. I know this will sound weird, but now i use to talk with her, and try other alternatives about my actions.

I found a weird book not so long ago, where it says that dreams are just doors to alternate timelines .I don't believe in the occult or stuff like that but... it relaxes me, you know? i just feel relaxed. The sad thing is that sometimes when i woke up, i feel emptiness...

Lucid dreaming according to popular definition is the ability to recognize you are in a dream and then controlling it. It is commonly done by accident when many people dream, and is easily achieved through some practice and planning. It can be used to overcome emotional issues and irrational fears as well as just be a playground for the human imagination. It is very common and easy to achieve in under two weeks. On a personal note; i tried it from a skeptical viewpoint and was able to achieve lucid dreams within the week.

The ability to share dreams with others however has been proven impossible through numerous studies and controlled testing.

Even though i'm pretty sure this is the guy above me just commenting as an anon because he can't log in like a man and say it, i'm willing to provide further information

The textbook definition according to Wikipedia is:
"A lucid dream is any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming"

There have been multiple systems developed to encourage lucid dreaming such as special goggles, medicines, alarm clocks, and basic routines. Aside from countless people claiming they can, there are tests where the brain functions can be monitored to prove that people are not only dreaming, but are lucid dreaming. They are eve able to confirm with machines that the person has been dreaming of specific items or situations.

The only skeptical claims that it doesn't exist comes from people who say that there is no way to measure it, which has been altered, and that people can not recall dreams once they have had them, which we know to be very difficult but still possible.

In which I realized I was dreaming and controlled my actions. I woke up when I started panicking when I started flying because I didn't want to wake up. Although I see what your saying, because I guess I just could have had a dream about realizing I'm dreaming. **** man, your messing with my head.

Once I had a dream where i knew i was in a dream, and the only way to wake myself up (but still be in the dream almost, kind of like restarting from your last save or something) was to jump from a high height and landing headfirst. I could do this from the 5th stair down into my basement, so i could wake up whenever i wanted. In the dream, people I knew were chasing me with blunt weapons, trying to kill me. I could (kinda) end the dream, or try to beat them. I usually just killed myself. Then, someone came with a long knife, and I immediately ran for the stairs, as i didn't want to feel a knife entering my body, even though i knew it was a dream. i accidentally jumped from the wrong stair, landed safely, and before i knew it, woke up from the cold steel entering my abdomen.

i had a dream like that except i had to go up from under water and when i did it i woke up but my eyes were still closed and wouldn't open so i had to force them open.
User avatar #54 to #52 - reican (06/16/2013) [-]
worst dreams is when you think you wake up in your bed and everything seems normal then you turn out to still be asleep, then something happens and you wake up which turns out to that you are still sleeping but you think you are awake since logically you just woke up in bed and you go outside then wake up again.
User avatar #55 to #54 - TrickyTehDj (06/16/2013) [-]
I had a dream, and the start was me waking up from my bed, except everyone in my house was gone. Because I woke up, I thought it was real, so I was really freaked out. Nothing really disturbing happened though, because i was just like 5. Except a door starting talking for some reason.
User avatar #57 to #55 - reican (06/16/2013) [-]
almost the same here, I woke up, and was heading to work, but nobody was there and I had a late shift, suddenly I woke up and thought " weird **** " and had breakfast and went to work, but now the entire streets were empty, no person in sight, woke up again. was still dark outside. woke up again but now I was already at work in the middle of the night. then I finally actually woke up, unless I am dreaming right now and i CAN'T CONTROL **** !

do you, or anyone else, consume something, or do something to increase chance on lucid dreams? i know some vitamins help and keeping a dream journal, but most of the time i wake up and try to remember my dream anyways (i did have some pretty awesome dreams). best part about my dreaming experience is i get no nightmares at all after i was like 16, and even if they were nightmares it had something to do with either falling, killer insects or teeth falling out once.
