Until a year from now when you have to spend thousands in upgrades to be current, and keep doing this and doing it.

I have a PC that was built in 2007 or so. I have yet to find a game I simply cannot run. I did have to replace the video card (I think it was less than 200$ but i'm not sure as it was a gift) and I added some extra RAM (had some laying around not being used). I also replaced the power supply as it died, 60$, and I upped my hard drives, but the hard drives were optional, as was the RAM.

It wasn't top of the line either when I first got it, but it was a good PC. Not to imply that PCs are cheaper than consoles, but they don't need to be upgraded as often as people pretend they do. You can most likely run any game at Xbox/PS level of graphics, and performance so long as you have equal specs in your PC, which isn't hard to achieve.

oh and the video card only had to be replaced because it died. Just as any console could as well. It unfortunately burned out, and died on me.

ha i have the same story. build a PC in 2006/7 and i only had to replace the graphics card (the old died because of my brothers stupidity).
it works perfectly every game works. i can tell you, if you buy a PC it is in the longterm a much wiser decition.
If you have a console you can only play with it and the amount of games are limited and cost a fortune^^

is actually not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
once you are used to the interface it's actually not bad, better optimized so boots up faster and is snappier, game performance seems better, had no compatibility issues so far.

I love Windows 8. People just complain and bitch because it's something different

Maybe that's the reason no one will play, they're too stupid to use Windows Seven
