the people of the united states of america have forgotten what protest looks like.
they forgot how L.A burned in the 60's.
they forgot how they beat the living **** out of protesters during the vietnam war.
they manage to get 10,000 people sitting on their asses in wall st., get pepper sprayed a bit, and go home, calling it a job well done.
the great american nation was once a beast to be reckoned with.
but it is no more.
the more i look upon this nation, and all of it's proteges around the world, and witness their decline in to the depths of time, as ancient titans who have lived past their glory days, i feel saddened, for i know there is a way out for them.
burn down a few cars. die a bit. otherwise, what's the point of living, anyway?
try socialism. try libertarianism. try anything differant, because the word just doesn't sit in it's right place as things are today.
let a bit of blood flow, and soon it will become a torrential river, sweeping downstream the rotten debris of today and ushering in a new era. it too shall become rotten and diseased in time, but 'till then we may gain a few decades of good. a century, perhaps. even a millenium. but only when we let ourselves change the way we raise both our own spirits in a cry for change, and the way we sculpt out of blocks of clay the future embassadors of the human race to the stars-our children.
educate, and be educated. protest, and be protested. contest everything, be satisfied with nothing. keep evolving, for that is the purpose of life.
spread our seeds of life across the universe, and become gods.
but only when you stop taking **** from ******* wal-mart.

Why is this getting downvoted?

Probably the length, the pessimism, or the reminder that things only tend to get better over busted skulls.

I for one agree with most of it. The assumtion that anything will inevitably become 'rotten and diseased' is just about the only part I disagree with, and that only because I refuse to believe that there is no possible way to set a system of self-sustaining social cleaning in place. But that's probably because I allow myself the belief that I will succeed at coming up with it.

Or they bitch about it on the internet, make content to mock it, and do nothing to change it just like when this happened back in 2006. Good job, you're change the world with your content and save the human race. Sarcasm off.

I think you're missing the point. First of all, this content wasn't made by OP, it was made by Tom Tomorrow - a political cartoonist. The cartoon is a satirical look at how people just shrug off the problems, and is practically trying to make the exact same point you're making with your comment about not doing anything to help the problem.
Don't get ******* lofty about something you obviously haven't understood correctly.
