The suit is real! The cape is added in. Green lantern's suit was completely CGI.

This movie was ******* amazing. I don't understand how it got bad reviews on rotten tomatoes. The final fight with General Zod...oh em gee. Fantastic. They did really well with Supes' origin story and him figuring out his powers and all that. Everything was explained quite nicely. Best superhero movie at the moment in my opinion. And I'm a batman fan, so that's saying something.

Its a consperecy, They gave it bad reviews so that when people saw it, it would be better than they could expect.

I saw the early screening of this, and let me just tell you this.
No superhero movie will ever come as close to doing what Man of Steel did to me in that theater.

I don't know man. The midnight premiere of TDKR with a full Imax theater was a great experience. Especially the ending.

What did it do to you? Where did it touch you? That bastard, I'll kill it if it ever comes near you again.
User avatar #38 to #36 - joshofsouls (06/16/2013) [-]
It touched my prostate in ways no movie has ever done before.
#11 to #5 - John Cena (06/15/2013) [-]
Let me just tell you couple of things:
First of all you are biased.
Second of all you don't know what superhero movies will come.
Third of all on Rotten Tomatoes the score is freaking 57% aka it STINKS!
User avatar #15 to #11 - TigerShark (06/15/2013) [-]
Rotten tomatoes is the only website i've found that has given it a bad review. Also the users on rotten tomatoes gave it good reviews

I don't give a flying **** what rotten tomatoes said about the movie.
I ******* LOVED it, it made me jump out of my seat multiple times and had me, my brother, and half of the people in the audience cheering at the end.

So **** rotten tomatoes.

Silly Anon, no one cares about what you have to say.

I am assuming The Dark Knight doesn't count as a superhero movie to you?
User avatar #24 to #23 - joshofsouls (06/16/2013) [-]
It does, but I just wasn't really blown away by any of them.

I didn't find it that great. The action scenes didn't feel as rewarding, there were a lot of weird transitions, some of the flashbacks didn't make a lot of sense. It's like they had all the components of a good Superman movie and didn't bring it to its full fruition. Only got like a 57% on the Tomato meter too. As for the Batman movies that Nolan did, I also found them to be decent but not spectacular (Strictly from a comic perspective, not narrative).

Honestly, This movie was so god damn epic. Aside from Inception, this was the only movie to make me open my mouth the entire time because of just how epic everything about it was. I would pay for another ticket just to see the last battle with Zod Again.
#42 to #27 - John Cena (12/05/2013) [-]
(might be a bit late here but still) Honestly Imo the Movie was crap. Sure the effects were cool but the story was **** . Kryptonian technology = crystal based not organic. The whole kryptonian clone plot was taken directly from the Asgard in StarGate SG1. And honestly the Movie contained too much "Epic" it just go ridicolus. Honestly when 2 characters of equal extreme Power face of sure destruction is supposed to reign but the amount of destruction they made made the sheer length of the battle very anticlimatic and then Superman just twisted Zods neck like he could have done it at any time in the battle. Seriously it wasnt an Epic battle it was a pushing Contest that ended with one contender snaping the neck of the other one.

They actually filmed a couple minutes at this iHop. A lot of it was filmed around my hometown in Plano, Il.

Imo (How dare you bring an opinion to this site?), this movie was alright. It wasn't spectacular or anything, but it was alright.
There were way too many cheesy/clumsy moments, or just moments where I cringed. The fight scenes were AMAZING, though, and were handled very well. I rate it 6/10.
I recommend you go watch it.
User avatar #40 to #35 - benjaminbutton (06/16/2013) [-]
Thank you, this movie was far from spectacular. Some of the transitions and cutscenes sucked, the acting felt a bit spotty, and the fight scenes stop just as they started to really build up.
User avatar #34 - sockprague (06/16/2013) [-]
Why did they even need a green screen? Back in my day Superman flew on location sets.

Ever wonder why the guy who thought Superman was a bird and the guy who thought he was a plane were so excited?

I personally didn't like the movie. I felt like it was 75 percent talk and 25 percent too much action. In the end, I felt like I was watching Michael Bay porn with the constant destruction of buildings. Yes, it is a superhero movie, but I felt that it eventually became too much. I even made a bet with myself that after the final fight, there would still be one more explosion. (There was)
