To be fair, those of us who read the books are just glad to finally have a larger fanbase and people to talk to about it

I told my friend that I just started watching game of thrones and he spoiled it. I didn't tell him I had read the books, and I ruined the rest of the story for him.
Am I a bad person??

**sketchysketchist rolled a random image posted in comment #1 at She's the only one who understands me **

And how do you tell someone has not read the book?
Oh, you can tell by them stuffing their minds with dead leftovers of what was great story that's be bastardized as it's interpreted to fit the film or shows runtime dependant on what people want to see, and unfortunately cut out a lot of parts I thought mattered but apperantly don't.

OMG!! Why would they kill that character? Because that's what happened in the ******* book.
User avatar #11 - stupro (06/14/2013) [-]
That's true. I watch every new episode with a roomate and every now or then I say "That never happened in the book" or "Actually, in the book they never....". I'm trying not to, it's hard, but I'm already somewhat more tolerable than before.

It took George R R Martin five years to write A Dance With Dragons...if he ******* dies before he finishes the series...I wouldnt be able to cope with such absense of closure

This is actually my primary concern with the series.

Because of how much I've heard of Game of Thrones on here, I went and got the first book. Is it worth it to read it before another few books I wanted to read?

this bitch on my facebook wall that I just deleted started telling everybody spoilers at least one time every day. Her reason was that she didn't appreciate that people didn't read the books.

How can you tell if someone's only watched the show?
They'll whine and moan like a little bitch every time something bad happens.

I haven't read the books
