Hey there commenters, I kinda need help. Feel free to ignore or red-thumb this as much as you want, but right now I'm desperate, with no one to talk to. Here's how the story goes :
Almost 4 months ago, I broke up with the most disgusting guy I've ever met. He never showered/brushed his teeth/cleaned his room. He treated me like crap and I finally got the courage to break up with him. At the end of our relationship, I met another guy (let's call him Alex) and we both fell in love instantly. We've been together for a while now, and I can't imagine ever cheating on him in my entire life. I love him more than everything. A few weeks ago, I started hanging out with another guy (let's call this one Jim) and we became very close friends. At parties, even though I had many other friends to hang out with, he was the one I spent most of the time with. When I was drunk, he made sure I wouldn't hurt myself and he stayed next to me in case I needed someone to hold my hair if I barfed. Last Tuesday, at my school, people received their yearbooks, and I asked him to sign in it, and this is where he confessed his love to me. I must say that I already had doubts about how he felt about me, but I never put much thought into it. Now that I've read Jim's message, I keep feeling weird in my stomach and I feel like there's something compressing my lungs and heart. I don't want to love him, but at the same time, I can't help but to feel something for him... I know it would be wrong to love him, because I still love Alex a lot more, but at the same time, there's something about Jim I find really attractive, and it's not just his looks. Still, I don't exactly know the nature of my feelings for Jim. It can be flattery as much as it can be love.

TL;DR : I love my BF, but I also have feelings for my other friend who confessed to me.

Help?

I guess I'm the only guy on here who feels he doesn't need or care about getting a girlfriend.

Yeah, go ahead and thumb me down because you dislike my lifestyle.

Been there, more times than I can count. And yet now I can look back and tell you how each relationship caused me to be where I needed to be in order to meet my amazing wife.

Yeah, there were plenty of times in the past I wished I could revisited. But hey, why soil a good memory with modern eyes? We feel the worst parts of our past, but remember the best. My first love and I split mutually, and then I changed my mind. Wound up missing her for years, then saw her again four years later. All my previous memories were somehow... Soured. I could see her differently, and not just through love-struck eyes.

TL;DR: Keep your happy memories where they are; In your head. But don't dust off an old photograph, because then you'll realize it wasn't just dust clouding the picture- There was just something wrong with the picture all along.

Don't listen to them, sometimes people need to be apart to realize they're meant to be together. Go for it!

It goes both ways. Im a chick, and my best friend is male. Once he starts dating I'm going to be pushed away, although I'll keep a smile on my face because I love him and want him to be happy.

Pay attention to where your mind goes to when it wanders.
