excuse me sir, but isn't that skyward sword incantation of link? the one that was raised in the sky and not by a tree?

incantation= magic spell. incarnation=one lifetime

I can't get past "incantation." And SSB redid him a bit from skyward sword so he's really just SSB version.

its just link. Just link. It isn't skyward link, just link.

"who in one incarnation was raised by a tree."

He isn't talking about that version of Link specifically.

But Skyward Sword Link is the first incarnation of Link.

Well then why would it matter anyway?

**** I think so, I didn't post the original thing

The OP did say in one incarnation, probably not this specific one though

ah you are right, he did say in one incantation, though in fairness skyward sword was before ocarina of time.

Even still, I don't think this is Skyward Sword Link at all. What I've been hearing is that this is the Link used in the WiiU HD Zelda tech demo, which I thought looked like an HD Twilight Princess Link. This very well could be what Link looks like in the unannounced WiiU Zelda rather than just a model of another incarnation, but that's anyone's guess.
< Skyward Sword Link looks like a mix between the current realistic and toony Links.

The Link used in the Wii U tech demo was COMPLETELY different.
The one in SSB is merely a HD, slightly more cartoony version of TP Link. The reason he looks this way is because they wanted to make the new game feel a bit more colorful and vivid, Link from Twilight princess didn't fit this, so they took him, remixed him and gave him a new pair of boots.

Another way to tell which link it is, is to look at the design of his left hand gauntlet in the Wii Fit Trainer trailer, it's the same one from his design in Twilight princess, just a bit brighter and more colorful.

I want to see this made into another game on the scale of TP. Twilight Princess is one of my top 3 favorite Zelda games of all time, and I liked the darker story/design. Seeing another game of that scale (in both story and world/levels) with these graphics would be absolutely fantastic.

I want to see a remade Majora's mask with the dark, gritty feel of TP, but the cartoony feeling of skyward sword. I honestly believe that'd be the perfect mix for a game like Majora's mask.

To compare the two designs, check out this picture and the one I'm going to post in a second.

As you can see, they are the same design wise, but the one in the new game is brighter to fit the look of the new game.

i like his look in the new ssb more than TP though. If they kept him like how he was in TP,
he would stand out too much i think

Well yeah, that's the reason they changed him up, so he'd fit the vibrant look of the new game. It's the same reason they reworked bowser's design and stance.

And it's the same reason they reworked samus to make her more like Metroid other M samus, because it's brighter, and smoother.

what is the source of that picture?

I am sorry for my ramblings, but I cannot contain myself when it comes to Legend of Zelda. I hope that made sense.

Hmm, I know this isn't exactly a current reply, but yeah, I got my Links slightly mixed up. When I saw the trailer, I immediately thought TP Link--and wondered why they chose him over SS Link--but I heard people saying that it was Tech Demo Link (I haven't seen that demo in forever and didn't bother to check it). I guess I should have known to check before repeating this, considering the people I heard say this also said that Samus is based on her Metroid Prime design when she is clearly in her Other M design. Even still, thank you for correcting me.
