So does this mean that the life of each Finnish individual begins in a box and ends in a box?

I must take note of this.

Fact: Some parents sleep their babies in dresser drawers *shudders*
For our 3 month old baby we have a bed sleeper (its like a crib you put on the bed). Its wonderful as she can see us and has adapted to a sleeping schedule much faster. She already sleeps through the night. It also has a night light on the top. We used this option for all of our other children too. Public health nurses will tell you though no bed sleepers or bassinets/baskets. Just cribs with a fitted sheet and no blanket and stuffies. My 22 month old would complain about that - he loves his blankie.

>22 month old

He's older than one year, okay? Don't treat it as otherwise. He's pretty much 2, so say your 2 year old. We had this discussion a while back.

Finland is a great country, from what I know. Among other things, it has Europe's(if not the world's) best educational system. I'm Norwegian and I'm proud to have Finland as one of my neighbours.

I have a better idea: The government sends a box filled with two of everything (two sets of clothes, two sets of sheets, two sets of toys, two packages of baby formula, etc.). The thing is one of the sets is perfectly harmless but the other is harmful, for example, one package of formula would be regular formula and the other contains cyanide, one set of clothes/sheets is fine the others have been sprayed with a harmful toxin or disease, one set of toys are normal and the others contain lead or mercury. It's up to the parents to determine which items are safe and which items are not. Careless parents who don't check could have their children die and thus their inferior bloodline is terminated. Parents who do check can send the tainted items back in exchange for more clean supplies or money. Also, parents who have tested positive for drugs or have committed serious crimes in the past year (or have been deemed unsuitable for parenthood by some other measure) get only tainted items.

I have no idea about the entire box bed thing. Never heard a woman even do that here.
But it's true, we got a sort of start package for mothers with newborns. I call it the Tutorial Level.

Tip of the iceberg my friend. lol I'm so surprised I came out normal, and with no record or nothing. lol
I actually laugh a little inside when my mom says she's proud of me, and I'm her favorite son(also only one without criminal charges). LAWL, and she didn't even help raise me!
