On runescape my friends an i would make girl accounts with "sexy" names. We would then proceed to find a dude who looked rich, but not rick enough to be smart. we would then ask them to be our boyfriends and then get them to give us a **** ton of stuff. The **** they made up was so funny example:
>guy:hey babe
>me: heyyyy
>crazy night last night, almost died like four times
>no way! how?
>well first i raced my friends on the highway. I have a ferrari so i almost always win, but one idiot almost crashed into me
>omg that so studly
>yeah then after i went to a bar and got into a fight. i threw the guy through a table, then he pulled a gun on me. i grabbed the gun and knocked him out.
>wow that so hot.
>sit down and let daddy tell you more (yes he said those exact words)
>ohh how i wish i had enough for a rune plate body
This is a literal conversation i had. My friend and i were crying from laughter.

User avatar #113 to #108 - xboxonerules (06/03/2013) [-]
It's not an MMO, but a glorious single player RPG. It's Mount & Blade and you can get trial on steam and free activation codes are everywhere on the interwebs. There are a ton of great mods for it.

User avatar #103 to #95 - sorrowofdaedalus (06/03/2013) [-]
To be honest? I find it kind of creepy to play as a female character if I don't have to. Kind of like cross-dressing.

Now, don't get me wrong, feel free to do it all you like, much like cross-dressing, that is your choice and I'd be damned to say otherwise, but I personally find it pretty weird.

Play the class "Angelic Buster" in Maplestory and then tell me it's akward.
User avatar #115 to #114 - sorrowofdaedalus (06/03/2013) [-]
Why? I've played as female characters before. I don't really want to play Maplestory, and I doubt it would change my mind.

Couldn't you just explain to me what you hope will convince me instead?
#119 to #115 - octaviano (06/03/2013) [-]
watch?v=3ePfJfvgyqk
Enough.
It's literally the squeakiest character in the game.
It's LOCKED for the female grender.
Also, you have a perverted dragon as a job instructor (which is hilarious).
Also, squeaky grunts. "Pewpewpew!"
User avatar #136 to #119 - sorrowofdaedalus (06/03/2013) [-]
Yeah, sorry, that doesn't sell me on it at all. If anything, it just looks like some kind of Sailor Moon rip-off turned in to a character class.

Also, exactly how was that supposed to be so revolutionary and interesting that it forever changed my opinion on playing female characters?

This isn't anything new or original; it an anime girl with some pop music that can do magic. I doubt you could be in to gaming, anime, or anything else of the like for more than a year in this day and age without seeing something exactly like that cross your path several times.
User avatar #138 to #136 - octaviano (06/04/2013) [-]
Well, it's absurdingly pink. And if you play it, there are these grunts.
Also, it's technically the strongest class of all. It has a few skills that ALLOWS HER TO BREAK THE DAMAGE CAP.
Insane. But thank god a later update fixed it by raising the damage cap even higher.
User avatar #120 to #119 - itrinx (06/03/2013) [-]
What was that ?
User avatar #125 to #120 - octaviano (06/03/2013) [-]
Cutscene. Which plays during the Class-Tutorial.
User avatar #106 to #103 - itrinx (06/03/2013) [-]
Yeah i get the point but as a Roleplayer it's funny to create different personnalities. In a videogame, even more in a RPG, nothing forces you to play a male character if you're a men IRL, you choose the story etc... of what you created.

And my best argument to answer except this is that as a big gamer i'd rather play looking at a cute girl then a big muscular manly dude.
User avatar #110 to #106 - sorrowofdaedalus (06/03/2013) [-]
Actually, I'm a roleplayer too. It's just that given a preference of male or female, I'll always choose to make a male character to play as.

I'm a pretty big gamer myself. In fact, my favorite fighting game is Skullgirls, and that doesn't have any male characters at all; However, I'm looking forward to getting two new male fighters in to the game, and given that one of them is a Grappler, I'll probably be soloing him simply because he's a cool looking, male grappler character.

To be honest, I feel that the "I'd rather look at a cute girl than a big muscular dude" thing is sort of ******** . You rarely ever take time to "admire" your character because you're focused on the task at hand, and even if you were to do so, I suppose I'd rather, as a role-player, hold the respect for my character as being something beyond a piece of pixelized eye-candy, though I guess that's more my author side speaking than anything else.

More, I think, men like having a medium in which they can enter a different state of consciousness, in this case, a more feminine one. Nothing wrong with that, I just think that's the true explanation, whether they realize it or not.
User avatar #116 to #110 - itrinx (06/03/2013) [-]
I spend my whole time customing my chars, males or females. That's pretty much how i enjoy a game.
User avatar #117 to #116 - sorrowofdaedalus (06/03/2013) [-]
Well, when you first start out, yes, but after character creation it's usually a much lesser experience.

Regardless, I'd say my point still stands.

As fabulous as this sounds, I usually pick female characters because female characters usually have more/better hair customisation options, more fashion choices and if a game goes for the gender equality route in aesthetics of armour, she looks more badass wearing chunky armour and wearing lighter armour makes them look more athletic (which is usually what I go for when having light armour characters, sneaky, agile little bitches) whereas men look like they're in gimp suits.
#87 - epicburana (06/03/2013) [-]
Female characters may want to reconsider their usual choice of armor though...

I usually play female characters in MMOs. If you are going to be staring at an ass on the screen the entire day, would you rather it be a hot ass, or a big male ass?

Having to pay attention to the fighting in an MMO? Perhaps in the top of top raids/dungeons. There isn't a single MMO on earth that requires your attention in a casual level up fight. We dont have a Dark Souls MMO

How cool would that be tho?

Reminds me of an incident all those years ago when I still played WoW and the Bitch Kind weren't dead yet. I decided to make a new character. Since I'll just be starting at its' back and ass for the rest of the ******* game, I decided to make it a woman. On that day I realised how terrifying neckbeards can be.

how is this game
looking for a fantasy mmo
kind of like how world of warcraft was back in vanilla, hard as balls to play correctly but pays off once you get a certain amount of skill
stuff like guild wars and wow right now are really boring to me, too few abilities
and eve is nice , i just get relly bored looking at space ships for hours on end
guildwars 2 you can only have 9 abilities, like, max, and one is standard attack
you get the point, any games would work for me?

th ething is i wasnt a fan of the expansions, they streamlined a lot over time, but at the very begining you could make sure every part of your game worked well
back when you may have to get out a notepad to do some number work
and when you got pvp armour and some great synergy with all your hit you could walk through people
thats what i miss
back when the game was hella hard
really complicated
and if you knew how you could dominate people to chuck norris's holy mountain beard back and fourth
and thats waht emerald dream is, back when every class had op things they could do, priest sucked cock cept for healing and buffs , no dungeon queue so you had to make friends, and the warlock ambush with fear reigned supreme
User avatar #55 to #54 - shaddz (06/03/2013) [-]
oh yes I remember those days, but I like my DK and wotlk was streamline but not overly so
User avatar #56 to #55 - hideyowives (06/03/2013) [-]
yeah but i enjoy clunky and hard to understand, its like its part of the game
remember when bosses had moves that could wipe your entire party
remember when whelps were a big problem
and the first time you fought onoxia it was a huge problem, because you didnt know what abilities she had, and she used new ones till teh end of the fight, and the first time you beat her, it was ******* awesome
rose tinted glasses maybe but stuff like the witcher gets me off
User avatar #57 to #56 - shaddz (06/03/2013) [-]
