Yes, let's all protest the company that's feeding billions and is essentially allowing us to have the size population we do. Complete genius.

Here's a Monsanto story for ya. A Monsanto truck was driving past a farmer's soy field and spilled it's load of "round-up ready" (weed killer resistant) soy seeds into the farmer's field. Monsanto then sued the farmer for producing their copyrighted 'genetic property'. The courts ruled that the only way to verify this was to spray the farmer's entire field with herbicide. This ended up killing off all of the farmer's crops and Monsanto seized the rest, leaving him bankrupt.

Monsanto has created a monopoly on both herbicide and a special type of genetically modified seed that is resistant to their herbicide. Farmers have been planting seeds that they saved from last years crops for thousands of years. However Monsanto has put in place a system that requires farmers to buy seed from them each and every year. If the farmers try and plant seeds yielded from their harvest Monsanto can sue them for 'copyright infringement'. It all comes down to the philosophical question of whether you can technically copyright a self reproducing organism and the supreme court voted yes.

This story was mostly for memory so feel free to correct me on my facts.

A farmer sowed salt into a field seized by Monsanto. Still, they're dicks but they're efficient dicks.
