That's because people are generally stupid and make assumptions. Microsoft has already rebutted most of the ******** spread around.
#10 to #6 - inugamer (05/28/2013) [-]
No, just the opposite. MS has CONFIRMED all of the ******** spread around. What the **** are you on?

Want to rent a game? Oh well, pay more fees.
Want to borrow your friend's game? Nope, pay a fee.
They even filed a patent for VISUAL DRM.

Keep your fanboyism to a minimum, and if you have any brain cells left, you would not buy the X1. Mindless people like you that will buy anything thrown at their faces are what encourages this stupid **** .

"We will disclose more information in the near future."

You were saying?

in other words:

MS: "we are backpedling because everyone is upset. we will figure something out and let you know soon"

You're being a paranoid **** like the rest of funnyjunk. Read the article carefully and the Q and A link. Both companies have information they are currently withholding. Sony is playing with similar ideas but has chosen to wait it out and see how Microsoft plays their hand.

You're too blinded by bias and idiocy that you fail to think rationally.

Finally someone who isn't blindly following the "hate on Xbox" trend. Someone who has seen through all the ******** from both sides of the argument and formulated their own rational opinion. You have made my day, good sir!

you are too blindsided by biased that you will blindly follow your prophet of a consol.

the very fact that these were attempted to be forced upon us is a bad sign itself. The fact that they HAVE the patent means they can implement this **** any time. This means they can promise us no, then 1 year later implement anything they want. You should not condone this behavior and if you support MS in any way, you need to quit gaming

My god...your stupidity...I can't even. Its clear to me now. You feel that everything is a conspiracy. It is completely pointless for me to even attempt a logical discussion with you.

I'll buy what I feel fit to when the time comes. Have fun thinking the world is out to get you.

I was just on a post that was about arguing with idiots and how they continue to deny being wrong even when being given actual proof...

here man more info supporting that article, I would suggest looking on youtube for the interviews.

I wouldn't trust Polygon or Wired after all of the lies they spread.

You do know wired paid for the exclusive first look into the Xbox One with microsoft? or was all that in the article just a lie? The video too?

I agree with this guy, it clearly says most of these things are untrue I;'ve read all this **** before. This being said I can appreciate the new improvements the xbox is making. And yes some of its new features seem odd and new so naturally people are saying it sucks. happens all the time so just let it happen. Peope also used to think playing games over the internet was dumb when the idea was played with.

I'm still having problems thinking MS is doing the right thing cause
I've read that Kinect MUST be connected for the Xbox 1 to work/ switch on.
Second one is that it needs to be connected to the internet at least once a day (I still don't get this. once a day, but how long?)
Region lock was confirmed.
All good indie games might not be able to publish their games before making a "deal" with MS.
And of course, the XBLA games. I love most of the XBLA games but it wouldn't be on the X1.
The one that pissed me off the most was that the physical copies cannot be used on another Xbox 1 and you need to pay a fee to play it.
Fyi I read all these from Gamespot and IGN.
User avatar #72 to #49 - luciferiam (05/28/2013) [-]
Just had to mention that gamespot and IGN aren't particularily good either.. it's actually where many of the mindless swarms of haters hang out, since gamespot and IGN also publish consistently bias stuff and they have crappy reviews on a side note.

Just personally, I like gameinformer very much. They do their best to remain objective on stuff like this, and not fabricate or mislead like other sites do.

Most of the stuff you mention does not have a definitive answer at all. If theres one thing M$ truly did poorly it was not being clear on stuff AFTER the conference. We can only hope it will be illuminated properly come e3. Also, even though its not confirmed specifically, it sounded like you can indeed play physical copies of a game on another x1. BUT you can't play that game on 2 seperate x1s. It's like being logged into Steam on 2 computers, you can't.
User avatar #68 to #49 - reaperssprint (05/28/2013) [-]
Kinect is required you're right on that. I believe its because they completely integrated it into the system. I don't believe its for complete control like people think but more an attempt to make motion gaming a proper part of the consoles.

It doesn't HAVE to be connected to the internet per-say. They worded it oddly, so I'm still trying to make a reasonable assumption on the idea. They say "It doesn't need to be connected to the internet to play the games, but it does need a CONNECTION to the internet."

From what I gather with what they say, they have implemented the Cloud more as a way to allow games to become larger and able to reach levels they couldn't before. I guess as an extra level of information that the disc can't hold. So in short it is a way to make better games.

I don't know anything about the indie and XBLA games though. I'd say in the case of XBLA games it would be best to just keep both consoles. Your Gamertag will be available for use on both and your gamerscore and live membership follow over both consoles. So no separate payments.
