obvious source is obvious

Many viewers remain unaware that
most of Leonardo DiCaprio' s movies
take place in the same universe.
We have created this timeline to demonstrate.
In 1912, Jack Dawson meets Rose Dewitt Bloater on board the
RMS Titanic. inter finding out that Rose is loaded, he proceeds
to bed her and then take advantage of the chaos on board the sinking ship
to steal her diamonds. He replaces them with a forgery and
fakes his own death, having succesfully climbed the social ladder.
Tea years later in 1922, Jack has assumed the name of Jay Gatsby
and harbors a dark secret. He is haunted by the dreams of poor
traumatized Rose, and starts to become increasing] divorced
from reality As he mov from partido party, he realizes that...
The year is 1954, and his dreams are the byproduct on psychosis
that involves multiple personality disorder. His name is Teddy Daniels
He is stuck on an island and has to ocean, which
probably created the traumatic false memories of a sinking ship
in the first place. He has no idea whether Rose is real.
His psychotic episodes worsen. la his mind, he lives the life
aft: pilot, a lawyer, and a doctor as Frank Abadname Jr.
Curiously, he does not fantasize about being a ship' s captain,
probably to avoid his original trauma. He is again rich
and successful, but constantly chased by the darkness,
represented in this movie by Tom Hanks.
He realizes that all his psychotic episodes were actually dreams
within the larger dream ofthe crazy island, which means
that his original trauma is also a dream within a dream
within a dream. It' s enough to make any man suspicious.
Finally able to extract himself from this tangled web,
he wakes up on a beach and realer, that...
He' s actually a little boy called Arnie who' s deathly afraid of
water and has retreated into his mind because the poor mentally
challenged child cannot deal with the fact that his mother died.

"most of Leonardo DiCaprio's movies take place in the same universe if you avoid most of their plots and draw them together with loosely taken bits of information"

The Titanic and Gatsby one holds water (pardon the pun) to a certain degree. As does the connection to Inception. It could be that Inception is the true root movie in the chain and in his youth he found himself trapped in a deep sleep for some reason (like a coma). The titanic comes first, followed by the Great Gatsby, followed by Catch me if you Can.

In Shutter Island he is again trapped but this time it is more literally, whereas before he was trapped by the confines of his status on the ship and in great gatsby by his lifestyle and in catch me if you can by the closing web of his crimes. It signifies his surfacing into reality by acknowledging the falsity of the events going on around him and placing himself inside the asylum signifying a subconscious awareness of the insanity of his continuous dreaming.

The settings are all elaborate and over the top and he is placed as a very clear centre of attention in what can easily be described as escapist fantasies (with the latter being the most obvious one). When he awakes he remembers a few dreams and, intruiged by the nature of them, studies into them until he ends up coming across the inception technology and making a living out of the one thing he's always seemed to be good at, dreaming.

It's tenuous connections, given that they're dreams, but the connections are given weight because it creates a strong theme throughout the would-be narrative. The post above tried to tie things into reality too much which betrayed both the plots of the movies and what should have been the centrepiece that ties everything together, inception.

There. It ties things together without damaging the plots of the movies and keeping to themes of entrapment and self-centredness (king of the world indeed), themes that become more and more apparent as the string of movies continues.

The gif was not moving for unknown reason and I was very confused whether it simply isn´t moving or if you actually posted a static picture to say that the plot does NOT twist.
I´ll be going now.
Don´t mind me.
