We do. I'm graduating this summer, but I've never heard of the term graduation money. We generally don't get gifts for graduating, unless I've just been missinformed! ;)

I'm from England, we do not graduate, we do not have huge parties, we don't wear those cool hats and throw them in the air at the same time. We take tests, we either pass or fail.

unless you're really rich... then none of the above applies

We do wear those cool hats and throw them in the air when you graduate but that is saved for when you graduate from university, not high school.

Literally you're all about 12
In the UK we DO have graduation ceremonies when you finish UNIVERSITY.

Same thing, robes, hats blah blah

in america when we graduate highschool we have a graduation party, and traditionally you get some money from family and friends as a goodjob heres a startout wad...so some people get a couple of hundred dollars while the more wealthy families could give several thousand...it just lets the graduate have some spending money while summer is there before college.

I'd think it's more for high school.

Or at least when i graduated high school my total haul was about $1500 and when I graduated college "only" $350
