Heh. FLCL is the precursor to Neon Genesis Evangelion, which is the distant past of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Not chronologically in order of production, but in the series proper. Let's say that FLCL takes place in the year when it was released, 2000, and Eva takes place when it does, which is 2015 or so. The Second Impact takes place in late 2000-- that leaves JUST enough time for the continuities to tie into each other without snarl.
