Congratulations.
You survived the part where you are physically unable to defend yourself and the part where you get aggressivly beaten into society's idea of what you should be.

I recommend finding a few quirks to help define yourself in your eyes and figure out what you want to do to society.

the worst part is if you have averaged 8hrs of sleep a day then you have slept 6.66 years..

that's a full third of your life that you have spent unconscience

Try thinking about what alcoholic beverage you want to legally buy.

In Holland you can buy alcoholic drinks with up to ~5% alcohol at the age of 16, everything else at 18.

i'm 22, I dont think too much about the future, and take one day at a time. never worried about the future because when something goes bad, compensate for it or improvise.

I consider ages 1-20 more of a "tutorial mode"

23 here, and yeah I feel it too. Esepecially because I waited a bit to go to college. Everyone I graduated HS with are now done with college, started families, careers, and such, and I just became a junior in college...

We are kind of very unlucky.

Within 200 years, people will be more machine than human. We'll be immortal.

Scientists have ideas of how to create a device that provides energy, hormones, repair brain tissue, provide oxygen, etc to the brain. All the organs in our body will be replaced with this device. Our muscles will be replaced with non biological devices to move our limbs. Our skin replaced with non biological material.

We wont have to eat, drink, pee, poo, etc. We wont be able to get diseases of any kind, as our brain will be the only organ that is left (Since that is all we really are). The brain will completely isolated from the outside world.

If born just 200 years later, you could live forever, have a house on another star's planet with some hot alien chick, etc.

The brain isn't meant to function that long, even if there isn't anything wrong with it.

oh man, it feels like it was yesterday i was sitting outside at night, smoking weed with my friends, celebrating that we were finally done with school.
And now i never see them, they got girlfriends/boyfriends,studies,jobs, and their own apartments long away from me.
Then there is me, that guy who wanna stay friends with them, but apparently can't keep up with them.
They have outgrown me.

My 20'th birthday is tomorrow, and I feel ya, but it doesn't bother me that much. Just live your life man, why bother thinking about the end, it's gonna come when it comes. Anyways, Happy late birthday man!

I love how our generation is expected to live untill we are 100 years old and we are freaking out about being old when we are expected to live 5 times longer than we already have
User avatar #17 - SlowpokeForever (05/25/2013) [-]
I just turned 20 on the 23rd and I could give a **** less how old I am. I still have a good while to go and still have worked hard to make 20 years worth it.
You want to enunciate the negative of your age because you're scared. You're scared of not living a full life and worry about the could have beens and the what ifs. And if you try and fail to fulfill your being there's only you to blame. But let me say this, life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes, it's all up to you. So get off your keister, get out of here, and start doing the work. But what if it's too hard? I'll tell you this son. Nothing that is worth having in life comes easy.

Who knows, with medical advancements you could live well past 100. It's possible. Not likely, but possible. Besides, why spend time worrying about the inevitable? Instead of thinking a=something like, "Oh man, i went to a waterpark when I was a little kid and it was so much fun!" You ******* go to that waterpark.
