You're uneducated about it's effects; It causes hallucinations, not nearly as strong as Psilocybin , DMT, Acid, etc. It is a hallucinogenic drug, even when in low dosage. Anything that causes auditory, visual, or in general, changes to users perception of their senses is considered a hallucinogen. Read the Doctor Generals book on drugs.

I would use personal stories to back up my statement, but i assume FJ would rather have a credible source of information than my story. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallucinogen

I was unable to find the written work by K. Hamen at Harvard University; who reiterates my original statement.

I'm a connoisseur of hallucinogenics .

It is indeed, officially, a hallucinogen. That's why things taste so good or music sounds so good, it amplifies the senses, thus altering them (hallucination).

Visual hallucination is subtle. Get stoned and take a walk on a sunny day, it's beautiful. But no, you're not going to see anything that isn't there.

music or food are not better, you feel like they are better because you're in euphoria. Plus enhancing senses doesn't mean alternating them, they just.. enhance. So yeah your argument is wrong in more than one way, congratulations

Hallucinations are responses to stimuli that isn't there. What you just described is amplification of senses

I know weed doesn't cause hallucinations, but I have noticed that when I'm pretty stoned I hear auditory hallucinations, like my parents calling out my name or hearing someone unlocking the front door even when I've been living in a dorm for a year.

It is hallucinogenic, acctually. Just not as much, or in the same way as Acid and alike.

Great counter argument.

well, the first chap didn't really put forth an argument either. he just said something without giving a scientific source. which is always the case on the internet.

I'm not saying he's wrong either. I'm too lazy to look it up.
User avatar #77 to #70 - darksideofthebeast (05/25/2013) [-]
Unless you consider blurry vision hallucinating its not hallucinogenic.
