It really depends on if it looks like its an emergency. A 50 year old guy in a sedan speeding is probably more likely to be let go than a 20 year old ina beat up, pimped out muscle car.

Really it's what emergency lights are for but even in an emergency, if you're going 100 MPH, you could cause more damage getting in a wreck going that speed than getting to where you need to get to.

Also, a 50-year-old guy speeding? As if!

Sorry, this is coming from someone who gets behind way too many slow people.

Protip: if you're already going over 100mph just keep going and pull off at the next exit and hide. For the cops to go from 0 to 110+ to catch up would take a long time even with their souped up cars.

A few days ago there was a story about a speeder in my country.

He did 155 km/h (~96 mph) in a 80 km/h zone (~50 mph) with his 10 year old son aboard. They took away his driving licence when they stopped him. The policemen went back to their spot after that. A bit later the same guy was speeding at the same spot and while the chasing he did 180km/h (~112 mph)...
