Well the invention of parachutes caused more people to jump out of planes and thus more people dying from jumping out of planes when parachutes malfunctioned.

We invented cars which led to more people dying in car crashes....

The pro's outweigh the cons, for the greater good, better to have it when needed than not, etc, etc

But do they outweigh the cons? That's the argument, sure contraceptives work way more often than not to prevent a baby, but that might be negated if suddenly everyone is now having sex using contraceptives and the margin of failure of those contraception causes more babies than were caused by the people simply not having so much sex before.

The chances of every single human using contraception is less than 1%
It's not hard to see that they do outweigh the cons.

But do you know that? Where are you getting that from? It seems possible that the availability of contraception will promote free sex and that could cause more babies than the contraception prevents.

People are going to have sex regardless of whether there is contraception.
Contraception drastically reduces the chance of getting pregnant 99% for condoms, 99.99% for female contraceptives.

It's just common sense. Teen pregnancy in areas falls as contraception availability rises.
