What if the vaccine makes you grow guns out of your arms?

That would not be equivalent exchange. The only way for that to work is to make it out of the iron in your blood and even if you had enough iron, where are you gonna get the bullets?

Yes they do. It is the most basic law of everything: "For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction".

You can't punch someone really hard without them feeling some degree of pain, and you can't make milkshake without milk.

Yet a soul and a limb are considered equal?

He didn't pay for the soul, he payed to attach it to the armor. The soul hadn't been taken, just the body.

****.... you're right. I forgot that Al's soul hadn't completely passed through yet, so Ed only needed to grab it back from what was essentially limbo.

It's been a little while since I've actually read or watched any (canon) FMA, though it is arguably one of my favorite series.

**beefking rolled a random image posted in comment #132 at Your Guardian Angel ** Brotherhood is true to the manga, You can consider the Full Metal, to be another telling of the story, an alternate version if you will. Both are amazing Anime's though.

I know just about everything about FMA.
FMA is the reason I got into science in the first place.

The 2003 anime kinda spun out of control with no manga to base it off of beyond episode 30, though.

YEAH AND THANKS TO THAT WE GET TO SEE THEM KILLING NAZIS

Don't get me wrong, the manga and Brotherhood are pretty ******* neat, but the original anime was so much more feely and powerful, it touched my feelings thingy.

Brotherhood and the manga are awesome, but a bit too shounen.

I like both, but some stuff in the second half of the first anime didn't make much sense, namely anything involving Dante and Wrath. If a Homunculus is created by a failed attempt at human transmutation, and thus looks like the person they were meant to be, why did Wrath look to be around age 10? Izumi was trying to resurrect an infant.

The movie, however, was great. Actually, both were.

It has been proved that some homunculi have the ability to age, i.e: Bradley

I'm not sure if that was ever proved in the first anime, and it only happened in the second because he was originally a human who was injected with a liquefied Stone, so he still maintained his ability to age, still being at least partially human.

Bradley had a son and wife did he not? I guess they would have noticed that he had the power of not-aging from Keanu Reeves.

See, this was my beef with the first anime, they never explained that part either. I guess there was nothing in the first anime saying they can't age or reproduce. I just wish they had made some things make a little more sense, even without holding true to the manga that hadn't been written yet.

They distracted everyone from that stuff with lotsa dark stuff.
The manga is much more shounen, so all the action makes you wonder about the mysteries, while the anime gives you enough mysteries to ignore that kinda ****.
