The lack of backwards compatibility really kills it for me.

That, and the whole game activation fee thing.

I'm done with consoles after these latest **** , if I did get one it would be ps4. I just hate the fact they also are hinting at it may not even be possible to play your old games on the new systems. It's also disgusts me how they don't even care about their dedicated fans, its like were all just junkies who want ******* Netflix COD to flash at us 24/7. The worst part is it kills me to know they will make ******* billions off this **** .

The games industry is a money thing now. It's quantity over quality.
The last game I played where I felt legitimately engaged and ended up losing hours in the game was Far Cry 3, even before that, I don't remember the last game I played that done that.

95% of Mainstream popular games now are FPS' or Third Person Shooters with the occasional indie game.

I just wish games were a bit more original, imaginative and filled with quality.

That being said, Ubisoft are one of the few companies who can deliver it (minus the AC series).

Switch to the PS4 and pick up any Naughty Dog game ever. You will not be disappointed. They are the entire reason I bought a playstation 3. A lot of games are just lacking now a days and the xbox exclusives have all already run past their life spans.

Why not both? Or all 4?

Ya and the only real games that I've found enjoyable have been indie. Such FTL, don't starve, to name a few. In a lot of ways it pisses me off but then again video games had this problem a while back and it almost destroyed the entire industry but the good thing that came from that was Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft growing big while the others failed. So maybe with this new era of video games will die and a new one will be born, one where the player is meant to have fun, think, and become engaged into the story. Until that does happen I'm going into my golden era time vault and I'm not coming out for any of this new **** thats just awful.
