I bet Tom Selleck has been kicking himself still to this day for rejecting Indiana Jones.

I like Sean Connery (most of the time) but I don't think he'd have made a good Gandalf. McKellen was perfect in the role.

Travolta would not have worked as Forrest Gump I think, the role suited Tom Hanks perfectly though.

you only say that because that's how you know the movies
you have no idea what they would have been like with the other actors

Actually Tom Selleck from Magnum was consider to be on the most popular actors in his day, you must not know movies well if you didn't realize companies specifically look for big actors so they can bring in their fans. The fact was when Harrison Ford first came up in American Graffiti he was still a small actor and carpenter who nobody really knew of. Your kidding yourself if you think people don't pay attention to what movies there favorite actors are in. Hell I will watch anything with Johnny Depp in it just because he is my favorite actor.

Of course I know that, I'm just saying it was a ****** point to make considering how the movie industry runs. And yes Tom Selleck probably hates Magnum for keeping his contract enforced preventing him from taking the role.
