I always have dreams with very monotone colors.

If there's an ocean in my dream it's all a very deep blue and just white ripples, and it's always surrounded by a tan rock

Everybody in my dreams is always angry, sad, or to busy to stand around and talk....

I kind dream in both, it depends. I have had dream where important parts of it were in vivid and in color(or colur if you British) and everything else was fuzzy and gray. on a side note, last night I dreamnt I was flying through a living Jackson Pollock painting

(colour I am English) The one time I remember any sort of colour was all sepia green when I was trying to lucid dream. I was sat in the corner of my room the all of a sudden my body shut off and I was perceiving the room like my eyes were open except with a green filter over everything and there was an earthquake

A minority of people dream in black and white, it's not linked to anything, you're just dreaming in black and white.

because I did some research. I found one website linking black/white dreaming to depression, but it didn't link or state any surveys, sources, or research data.
I found several stating that some people just happen to dream in black and white, and they didn't link it to depression.

Haven't really thought about it, but I think I dream in color.
I once dreamt I was being chased by a robot controlled by my elementary school teacher. It summoned magic monkeys which made people in to more magic monkeys when they touched them.

I used to think I dreamt in colour until I started making a point to remember my dreams. They're dark as ****

But maybe that is just because you made the point of remembering them. Before that they were "normal", maybe, and now your brain just assumes they will be dark as **** and that's what you get.

It's hard to say. It just makes me sad that I can't imagine colour properly

Apparently colour dreamers might experience it a few times
