I've never even driven an automatic car, the stick shift is like a part of me when I drive

It requires a little more of your focus to be on driving if you're in a traffic jam with a manual. I don't know about you, but for me that's a good thing.

I've found that I love the control that a manual provides. As lame as it sounds, being in an auto and having it start to roll without me pressing the accelerator always felt weird

see i kind of like that. if i have to move a foot or two id rather have it roll by itself at a slow pace than me having to feather the gas.

when you drive a manual, you can often roll by releasing the clutch slowly, and relying on the torque from the idling engine

Its nothing scary, you get used to it about the first or second time of using it.

I love my manual regardless.
