Dude. I tell this to everyone I know with tinnitus. Go onto youtube and search for long videos of white noise. Some people in the comments say that they cannot hear anything when the video is playing, they say its beautiful.

That feel when you are surfing the net, minding your own business on FunnyJunk, and someone mentions tinnitus, so it's the ONLY THING YOU CAN FOCUS ON FOR THE NEXT HALF HOUR!!!

How do I know I don't have it? I hear ringing but it isn't
that
bad and I thought it was just something in my body making the noise.

I have something kinda similar, but I think everyone gets it. At random times, I'll go almost deaf in my left ear and only hear a high pitched ringing.

Yeah, pretty much. I think it's from listening to music a bit too loud a bit too often.

No....... not at all.
Its a syndrome that can be caused by ear infections, objects in the ear, and other things like that.

also i was tested and have no hearing loss, also blood yadayada the only thing i got, which is gone now was a slight redness in the ear. which apparently had nothing to do with it.

I'm sorry to ruin it for you, but that's not true. The reason why some people have tinnitus is because their tiny, delicate hairs in the inner ear is either broken or not straight. Whenever a soundwave of a specific frequence enters the ear, it will sound like tinnitus. Since this room is -9 decibels, there is no soundwaves, which means there is no tinnitus

that actually is how tinnitus (typically) works, regardless of how atrocious that anon's grammar was.
whether or not you'd still hear vibrations, I don't know
