The owners of the piratebay have enough money for a country?
I know it's a popular site, but that popular? How much do they roughly make from it?

Sealand is not really a country in the traditional sense of the word, they are more of a buisness that live in international waters and are therefore free of British and French laws (they are in the Channel). Kinda like how Ladonia are an internet based micronation in Sweden; no laws on the internet, bro.

They host a lot of online streaming and file sharing sites from places like Spain and Sweden, they make quite a bit of money from it, too.

Also Iceland was once sold on eBay.

It's an offshore platform. But technically it's own country.
