Satanism is about living for yourself, and not god.
There are, of course, those that get into it because it's cool or whatever.

The one's I've met are nicer than most Christians.

I'm Christian and after doing a little research, I don't really have any major issue with non-theistic Satanism.

This was put to the test today though when my best friend (who was already an atheist) came out to me and a buddy as to considering becoming a non-theistic Satanist. I think he was a little worried I would freaked out or something, but much to his (and mine a little also) surprise I wasn't.

Guess that what I'm trying to say here is, WE CAN ALL GET ALONG, no matter what faith we follow.

That's the way Lucifer thought of humans, ingrate beings.

Lucifer is only seen as a bad guy because god holds grudges. All satan asked of god is to be able to interfere with humans, have more direct control instead of sitting back and watching them kill each other, he also disagreed how everyone (including the angels) were forced to worship and serve god, with severe conciquences if they didn't. So what did god do? Stripped this beautiful angel, the bringer of light of his wings and turned him in a foul beast. Cast him down to the centre of the earth where he'll feel pain for his actions for all eternity, then claim that all evil comes from him. Lucifer simply questioned god, and god gave him the power to question him then abandoned him for simply having different views, he was pretty-much a freedom fighter.
By the way, this is just my take on the fiction, i do not believe this happened what-so-ever.

Is it me or does Satanism just jump on common trends already found in society?

"Be nice to nice people"
"Don't hit children"
"If someone is a dick in your house, kick them out"

They aren't so much rules as commonly done things to try and rope people into the church.

It's a lot easier to understand when you view Satanism as a philosophy more than a religion. Basically, it just teaches you that while there is no such thing as perfection, that's no excuse not to reach for it, and that everyone is capable of becoming a god in their own right through self-empowerment, discipline, and knowledge

Looks like the vast majority of the world is following at least this part of satanism, because I sure as hell don't see many people who love everyone or who turn the other cheek to their enemies.

If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared.

Satanism represents ten crazy people cutting up small woodland creatures in a basement somewhere to please a dark and uncaring supernatural being that also doesn't exist.

This faggotry represents 9th graders, drug-addled metal fans, and a cornucopia of other various individuals that include but are not limited to hipsters, goths, and self-proclaimed intellectuals, that are bound together only by their common qualities of **** taste, an intense need to be seen as tough and edgy, and an uncontrollable desire to be as different from their vaguely conservative relatives as humanly possible, to the point that they can only define themselves through the process of becoming the calculated polar opposite of someone else, instead of being a normal goddamn person and believing things and growing in ways that make sense to you.

Come the **** at me with your red thumbs if you don't like the truth. People hardly give a **** about real religion anymore. Your ****** made-up one is completely worthless, and most of it is plagiarized directly from Rationalism anyway.

Oh, and while we're on the subject? The upside-down cross is the symbol of Saint Peter, who was (supposedly) crucified upside down at his own request, because he did not believe he was worthy of dying the same way that Jesus did. It's the symbol of the goddamn papacy, you ignorant retards. It's not anti or opposite anything. It's been a Catholic symbol for longer than your entire goddamn not-religion has existed. Apparently, asking even a token amount of research from you before you start spouting off rhetoric is too much.

I'm not even sure what upsets me more; that this **** even exists, or that people associate Dungeons & Dragons with ********* like this.

I guess we can at least figure out which people rolled fives on the Wis check of life.
