This guy needs to ******* study. His maths makes no sense. He took out holidays, which include sundays, after sundays, meaning he counts those sundays in the holidays twice. He does this for multiple ******* things. Dumbass.

Technically the holidays could be Christmas/spring break etc. And other days like Labor Day and what not. I'm sure there's at least 40 days of that excluding Sundays

That's the catch, falacy math to make a joke.
How did you get so many thumbs?
A few posts ago, half FJ was bragging about having 130+ IQ. Here, they're unable to understand a simple math joke.
You're all pretty stupid, you know that?

I don't think that's the joke, but I guess it would be funnier if that WAS the joke

80% of people believe they are above average... thus proving they don't understand what average is and, therefore, are definitely not above average
User avatar #197 to #27 - infiniteduress (05/15/2013) [-]
another fallacy, they can understand what average is they simply don't know what their relationship to the average is

Average has nothing to do with how many things in the set are above or below it. For example in the set of numbers (10, 10, 10, 10, 5) 80% of the numbers are above the average (9). lrn2mth

alright listen here ******** , IQ tests are based on a bell curve, so that exactly 1/2 of the people are above it and 1/2 of the people are below it. They then assign this to be 100. This value is called the "mean" of the values or the average. Before getting all pissy and bragging about you can do 2nd grade math, learn all the definitions of the word "average"
#205 to #200 - HypoLast (05/16/2013) [-]
Mean and average are completely different things, and and that bell curve you're talking about creates gives us values based on a percentile. The definition of average I stated is correct. Please check your facts before calling someone a " ******** ", also grow a pair and log in to reply.

In a normally distributed population, that's exactly what it is.
