Snape didn't die for love... He died for no reason, except Voldemort thinking he is the possessor of the elder wand. Also, Voldemort thought the only way he would master the elder wand, is by killing the current master. He didn't know disarming was enough.
Sorry to burst your bubble

typical 3rd class north korean citizen, blissfully ignorant to the fact that snape killed dumbledore , thats y voldy thought if he killed snape, he could be the master of the wand And snape killed dumbledore becoz dumbledore told him to, and he followed dumbledore's orders becoz he thought he was protecting harry(and incidentaly malfoy, from committing murder). and why was he protecting harry, the son of a man he loathed? becoz harry is lily's son. he overlooked his hatred for the bully to protect his 1st and only loved one's legacy. so yea, snape died becoz of a love he never got.

No he didn't...
The one Peverell who died for love, he killed himself to be with his loved one.
Snape has always loved lily and did in fact protect Harry until the end. However he didn't have or want to die, that was just because of Voldemort thinking he had to do it. Also he wouldn't be with Lily if he died. he had accepted a long time ago that he couldn't get the love of his life..

to answer your question and ignore the *********, the publishers didnt think that a kid would want to read a book with "philosopher" in the title so they asked J.K rowling to pick a new name for American editions (source: wikipedia)

Why do British people call Americans yanks? I get that was a term 200 years ago, but it's 2013.

I didn't think it was derogatory... We have names for people within our own country. Geordies, Cockneys, Brummies etc... and they don't take offense to being called those things so it makes sense we have them for some other countries too. It's just a term that's stuck.
