I'm more confused how he got the 100 - 100/ 100 - 100 to 10.10.

Because 100 - 100 = 0
The other will also become 0 and the answer from that should be 0. How does he suddenly get 10.10 from it? Even if it was 100/100 he'd get 1 from it and not 10.

Did they change math in school? :/

The thing is, the picture has it written down by hand. If it was on PC I could accept it but he used hand writing.

He clearly puts the dot at the bottom on both of them which gives him 10.10 which is where my confusion starts. How does he get that out 0/0?

Really now? Because Math tend to be the same no matter where you go. Moving that dot around changes quite a bit and I doubt it's supposed to be like that.

Were you experienced in math, you'd realise putting a dot is WELL ACCEPTED convention.

It's used for two (main) reasons:

1) writing an "x" every time becomes tiresome and mathematicians are all about efficiency.

2) when you use the symbol "x" as a variable, it can be confusing to have a sign with character.

10.10 is not 10 times 10. If it was the dot would be in the middle and not at the bottom. So now it's just 10.10 and not 10*10.

So I don't see how it's 10*10 at all. Where did he get that other 0.10 from? When there where two equal numbers being divided? Well the equal numbers where 0 so it shouldn't become 10.10 to begin with.

Dont be a retard, look at the progression, it is clear that it is implied to be 10*10. Your comment looks nothing more than a troll.

No, it's not. You can't just say "it's implied" as an argument for anything. The guy wrote the dot wrong. It's incorrect syntax. You can't just ******* use improper syntax and say "Well it's implied!" because you could've just wrote it the right way the first time like someone who's not a god damn moron.

Because the above is 100 - 100 / 100 - 100 which should be 0. Because they zero themselves out. Also anything split by 0 will become 0.
How on earth does he get 10 times 10? Also it looks like hand writing to me so I'm going with 10,10 on those numbers. I'd buy it if it was on a PC but those double zeros does not look like a PC writing to me.

But in the first part with 100 - 100/100 - 100 there is no multiplication.

The person indicated that whatever would come from the above would be the same that below.
So that 10 times 10 is a separate problem from the one above because it's after the =

Also looking a bit more, he suddenly lost 90 points on the bottom side for no good reason and 80 points on the bottom right side. That does not add up at all. You can not just remove points like that when you've had two equations that have come down to 0.

you can expand 100 to 10*10 that is totally legal in math problems
he then says 10*10=10^2 so its (10^2-10^2)/10*10-10*10 he can then simplify 10*10-10*10 on the buttom to 10*(10-10) also legal
and 10^2-10^2 to (10+10)*(10-10) also legal
he then says that (10-10)/(10-10)=1 meaning he can remove it, also a legal move in math.
this leaves (10+10)/10=2
All he does is abusing mathematical rules.

which is the same as 10^2-10^2 =100-100
