For some reason, somewhere along the line people decided to completely separate science and religion. Fun little history fact for the people. Most of the great minds behind the scientific revolution and enlightenment were devoutly religious, and if they weren't Christian than they were classical Deist. Charles ******* Darwin was a devout christian and believed that all of the biological breakthroughs were further evidence behind intelligent design. This was the mentality behind many of the greatest scientific minds in history.

Excuse me, he was an agnostic who was originally christian. That's pretty much the philosophy classic deists. Scientific breakthroughs pointed toward their belief in god. I'm a history major, but it's been over a year since I've taken Western Civ, so excuse my confusion.
