This reminds me; because I know you guys are full of great advice-
My mother's birthday is coming up, what should I get her?
User avatar #134 to #92 - sabcy (05/08/2013) [-]
get her a card that says this Loppytaffy "I could have bought you a diamond earing set, I could have got you silver and gold, but you shine brighter than all these things. I could have bought a million dollar house, but your a better home. I could have given you a million things but you're the only mom I need. Love you, Loppytaffy

I usually give my mom an entire day
this year my plan is to serve her crepes in bed
I'm going to get her the candle she wants
Me and my sister are getting a groupon for her and her mother to go to a day spa
I'm going to stay home with her for the day, read with her, do whatever she wants, be a good son, etc.
prepare a dinner for her, haven't decided yet, and probably watch an old disney movie with her, she is worse than some of the people on here with disney movies, she used to take a friend's kid to the movie theater so she didn't look like a creeper to go see them

Sounded like sarcasm to me.
Well, I talked to my mother some weeks before her birthday and asked her a little abour her tastes in music (I knew about them roughly but I asked about the bands she liked and stuff) like it was just a random question. I found out she liked rock and even metal so a few days later, I asked her "just out of curiosity" what she thought about this or that song. Thanks to that, I found out she likes a lot folk and pagan metal. So I used my dear friend google, youtube, my music knowledgements and the information she gave me and downloaded 12 songs I thought she could like. I burned them in a CD, wrapped it, gave it to her and that's all. She loved it.

If you're interested in this idea, you could also draw her something (I read she likes your drawings) as cover I guess.

it's that simple, then she will thank you, and love you. i am the only ******* man who understands women, and i am telling you, that is all you need to get her.

She doesn't have pierced ears and doesn't wear any jewelry.
User avatar #100 to #98 - ghostisaho (05/08/2013) [-]

She has five daughters (oldest is pregnant at age 23, youngest is 11 months, one is going to university, one is gay, and one is a little **** ), enjoys lavender, Jodi Picoult, crime shows, the manga that I draw (though she doesn't understand it), men with muscles...y'know, woman stuff.

heres what you do. get her flowers and a card, which is a standard procedure. now here is where it gets all technical. make her a manga about her, and how you will always love her, and cherish her, and in the last page have a picture of her in cartoon form or whatever, and write happy birthday mum, you are the greatest piece of work i have ever had the pleasure of drawing.
