The only camping I think there really is, is spawn camping. That you have slim to no chance of getting out of, but anything else there is a way. Grenades, smoke, rockets, C-4, alternate routes, teamwork. There's always a way to smoke someone out.

Spawn camping, while it does get points, is probably the one gripe I have against campers. See, the reason I don't hate campers is because it resembles reality. Spawn points don't. Therefore that is not a tactic that I think is appropriate (and is really fricking easy to fix from a developer standpoint - spawned players are unaffected by weapons for 5 seconds or something).

This was the first idea I had, but I figured that the advantage would not truly exist as people would simply stay outside the range of the star power's time limit. The real issue, I think, is knowing how much time to give. 5 seconds is way to long, but 3 seems a tad short.

Another thing I worded carefully is that the person should be truly invincible as I imagine there would be players who used the physics engine and explosives to their advantage if they were literally unkillable. But making them unaffected by weapons makes this not work.

I will cede to a professional's opinion though.

I usually play battlefield and there are ways around it. They did what you said with weapon fire, but that doesn't stop them from flying a vehicle to the enemy base, jumping out, and getting in their aircraft before the out of bounds limiter goes off. Then they'll have the enemies vehicles while theirs will respawn at their own base later, giving them everything.
