This **** goes beyond rustling my jimmies to the point where my jimmies are like a Chihuahua with espresso.

I'm particularly frustrated at the fact that now, there is an effort being made to ban guns from being glorified in video games, due to recent tragic events.

These people honestly believe all children are too retarded to think "Hey, I realize this is just a game. I should not try to emulate this in the real world because it's wrong". Children have a greater capacity to reason and make logical connections than these ******** believe they do.

It's infuriating how there are far stronger influences that entice people to commit evil, but video games is usually front and center as prime suspect for a shooting or bombing or something tragic. What is further infuriating is that the organizations that want to push the legislation to censor video games act as though the parents are completely innocent and powerless, which is laughably hypocritical of them, as these activist groups are mainly parents.

Not only is this logic highly faulty and has evidence to support that, it's also unfair to gamers who are old enough to enjoy these games that don't do anything wrong. Basically, we're potentially getting our video games to be appropriate for 10-year-olds just because some mentally unstable person who shot up a school happened to play video games.

No, our beloved video games, which have been shown numerous times to not be a leading cause, if a cause at all, of violent acts, should not be curtailed to be acceptable for these tottering ********* idea of an "average" child. There are things that adults enjoy that should not be taken away/drastically altered just because of some parent is paranoid, and video games fit that bill.

TL;DR Video games should not be censored to the point that a 10-year-old can play them. This is why we have the ESRB. If you ignore the warning label, you have no justification for pointing the finger at video games.
